The Voyeur story category seems to be fairly popular on this site. I was wondering how many people actually incorporate the element of voyeurism into their erotic stories in part or dedicate the entire story to that element of erotica?


My latest chapter of "A Slut's Triangle" (chapter 19) was dedicated to this element with the main character walking through an all-girls party. At first, I was torn between posting the chapter in the Lesbian stories, but settled with exhibitionist & voyeur category.

Most of my stories have voyeurism as a side theme. Almost every sex scene in my stories have more then two person involved in them. I was tempted to post them in exhibitionist & voyeur category, but decided to post them in group sex category.

I like the idea of group sex. That seems to be an umberella term that can encompass bisexual sex scenes.

What kept me from posting in the Lesbian category was the fact that my main character Ashleigh is a transvestite. I could have put the story in Transexuals & Cross dressers, but the theme of an all-girls party might not go over well with the standard mold/ mindset in the Transexual category.

I've used it as a way to start up a conflicting attraction in incest when a son sees his mother in a sexual act in person or in one story finds his parents home movies and watches his mother fucking.

Voyeurism/exhibitionism is a big element in my stories. I like to put the two together, and have a voyeur and an exhibitionist play off each other.

As far as your question about category choice, I don't know. There are some useful "how to" essays on choosing categories, but I feel like I still haven't completely figured this issue out. Lit readers can be very picky about their categories and critical if they think you have miscategorized your story.

So does every other category, but no worries, the propaganda machine will be along shortly to tell you the site has more traffic than ever before.

A friend once argued that all pornography is voyeuristic because, well, you're getting off on watching other folks. She was only talking about film and photography, but I don't make a huge distinction between visual pornography and written pornography myself. So, is all written pornography inherently voyeuristic as well? Because you're getting off watching other folks in your "mind's eye," so to speak.

It would be a real challenge for me – I’m not sure if I’m up to it.

You might get a different impression from my candor and chattering at Lit, but in real life, I’m very introvert, getting extremely embarrassed myself when getting into exhibitionistic/voyeuristic situations. I’m very prudish, and I even feel annoyed, up to angry, when seeing people groping or even excessively kissing in public. I even don't like people being sexy dressed. It raises thoughts like “I don’t want my children to see this” / “is this really necessary” / “why do they want to shock other people”…

I lost my muse while trying to write something for 'National Nude Day.' It doesn’t fit me. The thought of other people watching me, or me watching others in intimate conditions in real life, makes me lose all of my arousal.


In a way, that does make sense to me, and therefore my embarrassment seems very double, (hypocrite?), even to me, as I very much enjoy writing and reading stories; even 'biographic stories' don't give me that embarrassment, and being biographic sometimes even seems to add extra attraction...

Maybe it has something to do with being anonymous and safe? No risks involved? Also watching photos, videos on internet somehow doesn't make me feel bad, but being part of exhibitionism myself, even in my head...

So far, I have only written stories I could somehow relate to. I think that's easier, but also limits my possibilities to write.

I certainly don't wish to limit my possibilities writing, but sometimes my morals get in the way. It's easier for me to apply the things I detest into lesser, non supportive characters rather than openly putting them into my main character's face to a point I feel like I have to relate to it in a first person story.

I've used it on occasion, but not as a regular thing. One of my stories has a character who finds that she likes being at a nude beach, both for the seeing and being seen. But that isn't true of myself, which is why it seldom finds its way into my stories.

It's an element of a lot of my stories. "A Very Private Beach" was a series about a guy who discovered his penchant for exhibitionism and voyeurism at a no-holds-barred nude beach.

It doesn't really reflect my own life, although I've been in a few situations of public nudity. I've certainly enjoyed what I was seeing, but it wasn't the objective of the nudity.

Well, I posted Chapter 20. It expands on the theme of walking through the all-girls party and refines it to a point where Ashleigh watches Brenda and Kimberly having sex. Not really original on idea unless you consider the fact that Ashleigh is a transvestite and that all 3 of them have had some type of interaction with Kryss and/or slept with him and he's on his way to crash the party. Haha....

I'll move away from the Voyeurism element with chapter 21 and return to the 3some theme with FTF overtones and probably expand the chapter to draw it all to a close. It's been one helluva storyline for me.

I have a couple of stories in the E/V category. They've both been well received - for me. Working on one for nude day contest, but it's stalled for the nonce.

Other than those, I've always thought of voyeurism as being hidden while spying on nekkidness. However I did have a young man ogling his mom and another mature lady as they posed naked for him, in a story I wrote early on in my Lit career. It was in a different category, but thinking about it now, I can see the voyeurism content in the young man, and the exhibitionism in the two ladies. I really enjoyed writing that scene and still think about doing something similar.

Two people engaging in sex and one person that,well, would like to join in, but is hesitant. A Transvestite in an all-girls party that happens to be smuggling a "real cock" into the party might not want to rush in and jump between two lesbians even though both of them know there's a real cock between those legs

In my series of novels-length stories 'The Empath Cycle', many of my main characters are exhibitionists to various degrees so you could say I explore the voyeurism theme from the other end.
I've always felt that a voyeur is passive as opposed to an exhibitionist who gets off on performing. This is so much more rewarding for me IRL and as a writer.
In my stories, when a character is a voyeur, she has an emotional connection with those she is watching and it serves as a springboard for her own involvement, either by joining the action or getting some of her own on the side.
I never really understood the point of voyeurism, except when watching porn. That's why I only very rarely went to strip clubs. What's the point of taunting myself with something I can't touch, kiss, smell?

I can see how I would develop that story. In fact, I did something close to it with an intersex character who became a favorite of mine and who joined us in a few novels down the line.

Not at all. By all means take the idea and run with it. I'm sure there are dozens of ways the idea could play out. But, it really isn't just an "idea" though. I happened to use it in my latest chapter I submitted to the site.It tied in nicely with the voyeurism theme that I am using that will lead to a threesome between a lesbian, a bicurious woman, and a transvestiteKant
