PS But then again, you can't vote a 10 either (and I've needed both extensions at times).

If a person takes the time and effort to write...the least you can do is take that into consideration. This isn't a pay site...most are amateurs. You read them for free...

You are right. And I do take into consideration that it takes time and effort to put a story together. Stories I would vote a zero, however, are those that are so bad that they are unreadable. I'm not a pro and I doubt I ever will be. Yet I know how to spell most of the words I use in my stories. If I don't know it, I look it up.

I also paid at least partial attention in English class, so my grammar is fairly correct. Even if the subject of a story may be good, frequent errors just grate on the chalkboard of my mind.

I can ignore a few errors and to me those don't count.

Ah. For me this is the sort of story I reserve the big 1 bomb for. But I'm a softie who gives mostly 4s and 5s.
