Voting Corrections?

I demand a recount!

Or, really, I'm just wondering if there are corrections done on the voting tallies. My last post had like 414 votes last night when I went to bed, but now it's down to 366. I'm not exactly complaining, as it hasn't hurt my average, but...is this something that happens regularly here? Did I have ineligible voters? Am I the victim of voter fraud?

Just curious. Votes and comments make me very happy.

Yes it happens regularly here. The Web site has a sweeper that periodically sweeps what it considers invalid votes--and, no, the Web site won't disclose what it considers invalid votes or how it identifies them. It happens to us all.

I've notice a rash of double-posts in the forums recently. That's often follwed by a sweep to remove all of the double-votes that get posted for the same reasons.

Of course, there is also the winter holidays contest going on and the sweeps are more frequent as contests come to a close.
