Votes but no views?

diligently following a story and it's votes (i know, i know - she who swears the voting is basically worthless) and i find that 8 days later i'm still looking at the same rating and same votes.

Ghost readers? I always suspected my stuff would appeal to an ecclectic bunch.
Actually, Naudiz, the answer I got to this question was that voting is updated immediatly and view totals are only updated every so often. So, according to this, what is happening is that you do have views, but the totals have not been updated yet.

Ray is correct, votes reflect immediately. Views are updated following no set pattern that I can discern. It can take 1 or more days before views get updated, then they may be applied all at once, or you may see the number increase 2 or three times over the next few hours.

They sometimes get updated out of cycle when the site is being worked on, or don't get updated because of problems with the maintenance event, but, in general, they're updated once a day.
