Vote ratings?

Hello everyone..I am a fairly new writer and I am confused by the ratings system. Would someone be so kind and try to explain it to me? How can I have 12 votes and a 4.58 rating and 2200 viewings, get a Hot designation on one story and have 55 votes, only a 4.46 rating with 12,300 views on another?

Oh and by the way, I don't seem to be able to figue out how to place a comment on the Feedback Portal either!

I would love to get honest constructive feedback from all who wish to contribute. Please read me and let me know what you think!

About Comments...

The author of a story controls whether comments can be left by readers. If a story does not have the option for public feedback, that is because the author decided not to allow it.

Once your story is submitted and is in it's 'pending' stage (or later, if you want), you can go to your Author panel and change your story's status by viewing your current submissions.

That area just contains the last 15 comments people have made on any stories found on Literotica. Therefore, if you make a comment on a story, it will appear there in the Feedback Portal at some point, and will only stay there for as long as it takes for more comments to push it off. To the best of my knowledge, you can't make a comment go there directly nor make it stay there.

Who would have thought that I'd encounter politics on an erotic website when I all I wanted to do, was see if anyone else enjoyed my writings!
