The Submission Format filter that I’ve always used has a bug: restricting the VEs displayed to the ones who agree to work in Microsoft Word. As an author I find the editing process to be humbling and tedious, so not using Track Changes in Word is unthinkable. But I recently discovered that a number of VEs that were filtered out for not using MS Word, in fact, are willing to edit this way. Makes me wonder how reliable the other filters are.
Sure, I’ve put in a bug report, but I just wanted to highlight this in case other authors (or VEs) have been relying on the MS Word filter to work correctly. I’ll also post this in the Editors Forum.
(I’ve also noticed that the VE listing has duplicate entries that are out-of-sequence by date, but that's easy enough to work around.)
