Voice Work/Looking for Freelance

I hope this is allowed, I'm looking to make some extra money by hopefully going into some sort of Voice work. I've always been told I have a sexy voice and guys seem to enjoy it, but I'm not sure how I can utilize that. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated besides sex hotlines, I'm not sure I'd be great at those.

I would also be interested in breaking into freelance work, it's something that I've never tried to do before but I have experience in customer service and as I said above, I'm looking to possibly get into Voice work but I unfortunately have no idea where to start or reputable sites.

You should try finding voiceover contracts on sites like upwork or other freelance sites.

If your voice is well placed (not shaky or anything) you could search for professional jobs and auditions. I'm sure there are many indie game companies, for example, including adult games that are constantly in search for female voices. Think of even flash games that come out by a dozen - you could be paid a few bucks for a couple of lines done with your sexy voice.

The main thing on this market, I think, is to not be discouraged if you are turned down. You may have a great voice that just doesn't fit the role as good as the other person. You get turned down because of that A LOT - even if you have a great voice.

You could also try your hand at something like hypnotic recordings at sites like sensualmistress. It would require some good recording setup and audio editing skills, as well as some research put into making the scripts that you are going to voice. Check out some free recordings made by other women to see what's what.

Thank you for the site ideas, I've also never thought about games and things like that. I'll have to take a look at them and see about getting a small set up at first.

It's basically mostly about a good microphone that will reduce and filter out the noise and catch clear sound, as well as having a quiet room to record in. You don't want your PC fans, kids, neighbor's tractor or birds and dogs to be heard in the background.

You don't need super-professional set-ups that involve foam walls and super-expensive physical equalizers. They are definitely good if you make it your full-time profession, but they aren't mandatory at first.

Also it's about offering your services. A site may not post a job offering for a voice actress, but they will look at you if you contact them first.

Also, there are a bunch of youtube channels like Watchmojo and Looper that employ many people to do content for them. I have no idea how it's done, but you may wanna look into this if you are interested in narrating a video or top-10 lists.

I appreciate that, I'll have to start looking at a few websites for a good microphone with a noise filter, I'm not looking to spend a lot of money as I don't know if this is going to go anywhere but have been thinking about getting a second job and working from home sounds like an amazing opportunity.

updated my previous post BTW.

Eh, several years ago I've been looking for a female voice actress myself. I'm not really interested anymore though.
