I refrained from putting Bean Town in the title...yay, me.

Anyway, I'm headed up there from 5/11 til the 14th to catch some Sox games before Papi retires. It also turns out that I have an extra ticket, so if any Lit Sox fans are interested in sitting next to a guy with a strange accent, holler.

It would be great if I could get some recommendations for places to eat. What are the touristy places I should make time for without having a lot of it to spare? I'm a book nerd so any cool bookstores? Is Legal Seafood any good or do they just have a large advertising budget? Any late night suggestions for after the games?

And I would not be opposed to company for any of the above either http://forum.literotica.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

North end for Italian. Tons of nice places to try, including Mike's Pastries. Touristy, yes but good. My first game at Fenway, we went to Cask & Flagon, http://www.casknflagon.com. Again touristy probably, but it's right next door to Fenway and we loved it. Eat a Fenway Frank and get the Sox a win!!

Thanks Crash. I love Italian and, yeah, a Fenway frank is a necessity. For one of the games, I'll be on the front row of the Monster seats. Might catch a few homeruns if Price is pitching.

I've visited Boston twice before but it's been too long.

Baseball Tavern on Boylston St. is better than the Cask n Flagon (when Cask was a dive bar it was great, now not so much).
At least you have front row on the wall, LF completely obstructed from the other two rows (off the wall or fall into LF's glove). Nice gimmick seats, but anywhere else in America those are called upper deck.

I want the other ticket! Lol. Of course I would need a plane ticket too! Of all the cities in the US, Boston is the one I MOST want to visit! For many different reasons, but ultimately my desire to go there is so strong, I think perhaps someday when I run away from my life that's where I should go!

Have fun--I'm so jealous!!

Yeah, I wouldn't have bought anything but front row on the monster. The other games, I'm 5 rows back from the Sox dugout and 12th row behind home plate. Baseball Tavern sounds like my kinda place. Thanks

I do love some Italian food. Between you and a couple others, I'll be skipping the Cask. And I definitely believe you on the won't want to leave. Food and the Sox are two of my life-long loves.

I asked a friend of mine when I saw this thread and she said the same thing about the Italian food. She says cruise the coffee shops and try things. Biscotti, canolis, tiramisu, that kind of thing. She says get a cappuccino and just chill for a while and people watch.

These are all things that I'm good at doing. Thanks!
