Right, so I think I'm about ready to start another project. Something different. I've checked the story ideas section over the last few days in search of inspiration, and drew a blank.

One that came close was a suggestion about cloning, which led me onto thinking about whether I'd be any good at a sci-fi or fantasy world angle. When I thought about the typical lines I'd end up using in the cloning story, I worked out the psychology of a woman sleeping with herself would be too much for me to take on.

Anyway the cloning got me thinking about virtual reality. Set in the future probably. Man gets to program his favourite girl(s) to do whatever he secretly wanted. Seems as flexible as a wonderfully plotted dream story.

There must be more plot twists to it though. Initial thoughts. Feel free to jump in.

- The guy is a scientist (engineer / whatever), working on pioneering virtual reality techniques for practical purposes (like what? military hand to hand combat training or something?) but abuses it and loads in a character based on his hot lab assistant. She finds out, and secretly watches. etcetera.

OR

- Main character just spent his life savings on new VR equipment. To build his hareem he needs samples of the women he wants to recreate. DNA / Video footage. He comes up with twisted ways of getting them without consent.

There must be many more possibilities.

This may not be specifically what you're looking for, but:

Watch Videodrome, directed by Cronenberg, with James Woods and Debbie Harry. If that film doesn't provide you with a wealth of ideas (most twisted and wrong, but hey, that's what makes us human), nothing will. It's not exactly VR but it definitely anticipates it, and it's about the merger of sex and technology, how sensation and pleasure can go wrong, and the fragility and cruelty of humanity.

I've seen Videodrome (edited version called Scanners), and although it has virtual prostitution (experiences through VR), and other digital fetishes in it, the point was to learn what a criminal's thoughts are at the point of death, a question posed by the death penalty.

The problem was that when a person has the experience of another's death, that person's brain shuts down.
This made the VR helmet (used in X-Men) illegal, and a black market evolved for second hand sexual experiences.

Caution: Virtual pedophilia is also shown.

more source material for this idea...

The holodeck in Star Trek: The Next Generation comes to mind, of course. As do the recording rigs used in the movie Strange Days. There's a wealth of different ideas here... just extrapolate chat-based cyber.

Is your partner in the VR real, or not?
Is your real partner the gender, race or age they claim?
Is the person you're playing with in the VR actually an ex, a sis-in-law, a boss, a pastor, or some other person?

Is the VR setting a programed one, or one that was created by the "reflection" of someone's mind... maybe a spouse, who's VR rig you've come across and are now exploring?

Is your main character experimenting, or an expert seducer in the VR?

I have certainly thought about this idea before; actually developed a setting and notes for a SciFi "world" were such tech is around and used... applying it to erotica is just a spin on it.

But a yummy one. ; )

Coincidentally, I am working on a similar story on another site.
It's 2029 December thirty-first.
Humans and artificial lifeforms live together in piece and harmony, well at least some people do.
There is a growing movement against such a lifeform, saying man should never be allowed to play god in the first place.

During this time, an underground (literally) virtual sex ring started to form.
After the new year, new sex laws were made to accommodate the morality of such beings.

Subjects include:
Virtual Prostitution (The buying and selling of sex machines with or without consent of the artilect)
Digital Sex (Sex in the virtual world, or with artilects in the real world)
Artificial Morals (The rights of the artilect living as a human)
Cyber Child Exploitation (A childish program being reprogrammed for sex or sexual activity without consent of the artilect and creator)
Virtual Child Pornography (Images of an artilect which looks like a human child, but with the intelligence of a human adult)

Free will (most controversial subject for the man makes living machine scenario) is also mentioned.

I'd have the hot lab assistant realize what he is doing, and get turned on by it. She's always had a secret crush on the scientist, too! So she re-writes the simulation so that she can enter it for real somehow. Next time he fires it up, he thinks he's screwing a simulation, but he's really screwing her. Where it goes from there, I have no idea.....Carney

Ok, I'll take it from here.
He's fucking in the virtual world, but his lab assistant can now experience it too.
What if family was involved?

Her sister was dating him for awhile and got wind of this.
Let's say she's the playful and curious type, and more angry at her sister for never telling her how to do this.

There's a virtual incest/lesbian scene, and eventually they pull the plug so to speak on the scientist.
He ends up in a coma, and the girls take turns fucking his body in the hospital.
