First step...education

Educate yourself on what type of submissive you are or may be.

Do you like sensations on your skin? How hard? How soft?
Do you like pain? How much? How little do you think?
Do you have any medical conditions that might hamper your play in any way?
Do you like the idea of being humiliated in a private setting between you and your "tormentor"? Perhaps with others close by or in a public setting such as a D/s-friendly club?

Do you like the idea of being "owned" by another? Do you seek a dynamic where He/She makes decisions for you once in a while? Daily? Every waking moment?

These are just a very small sampling of what you need to think about and discover within yourself.

Safewords: You need to pick atleast two. One signifying "Slow Down" and the other "Stop right now".

Boundries: Don't let someone claiming to be a Dominant (Domme for girls, Dom for boys) immediately start directing you as if they already own you.
