How did we miss this? While the Right wing loses its mind over any attack involving migrants from any place with brown people they never seem to notice when there is violence against US citizens. In this case a mother was stabbed 12 times and hid in the bathroom to call 911. While she did she could hear her son being stabbed 27 times. As Americans we should be appalled at this kind of hate crime and that's exactly what this was. A hate crime.

I have to go on and say this is the natural evolution of the anti-Muslim rhetoric that was one of the cornerstones of the previous administration. It is a sentiment the Right has championed and I'm fucking tired of pretending that the Right isn't collectively a hate group.

I don't remember seeing in here and I'm on quite a bit. I don't even really remember the media covering it much but maybe I was zoned out since I usually put on the news as backround noise and look up if something catches my attention. Trump and Israel have taken so much of the air out of the room that I don't even see much on Ukraine these days.

Because we at least pretend to like the Jews and we've spent over two decades demonizing Islam. Both are problems no doubt and we need to address them as a group but that doesn't mean we can't focus from time to time.

As an atheist I don't like either group but they aren't problematic like Christians whom I will happily give the two finger salute to. However this whole anyone who wants harm towards either would basically be the entire Right wing and an unacceptable number of the Left. I've yet to see the problem that genuinely went away because you ignored it long enough.

Not listening to isn't the same as ignoring.. it simple isn't giving them a voice in the discussion. Leaders need to pursue peace as the highest priority. People need to give those people their voices.

Not giving them a voice is essentially no different than ignoring them. Having said that I agree 100% that 'but my side' isn't productive. I'm not sure what would be productive at this point because I don't think Israel is going to stop the settlements. They are not going to stop the apartheid either so we end up right back where we started.

No, it's not. Not giving them a voice means you aren't helping them spread their bullshit. Promote peace ...promote cooperation.

Israel is at fault. America is at fault. Neither nation has any intention of doing the right thing and we both know it. For some reason people pretend this conflict started 10/7 not some odd seventy years ago.

Escalation started 10/7. We should all be pushing for de-escalation and a two state solution. Anything else will just lead them back to this.

First, I don't think the article goes to the point that you're trying to make and by the numbers, other than Muslim on Muslim violence, violence against Muslims is the exception and not the rule.

It's not dangerous to be a Muslim on campus, for example, it's like they're a protected species, but it is an intimidating environment if you are a Jew because of of the current world-wide culture of Muslim atrocities.
