I found an absolutely gorgeous bra whilst thrift shopping today. It's made of black lace, and structured very geometrically-- it creates torpedo-style projections out of my breasts. Very sexy in a noir-meets-pinup way. Does anyone else enjoy vintage under-things?

Oh, yes, Ruby. I definitely have a series of photos in mind. I don't know what bottom I'd like to pair with the bra, though. I may have to put photos on hold until I find the perfect accompaniment. Do you have any ideas for what you'd pair with such a bra? I'm thinking it's from the 1940s or 1950s, so I'm thinking I might like to put it with something that will either coexist with or complement that era. It might just end up being paired with a vintage half slip and garters and stockings.

I love shopping for women's clothes and vintage anything is a special treat.

My only problem is I tend to get really turned on when lingerie shopping.

On the upside, it gives me a place to hang things while I'm looking through display racks.

one of those long garter belt things that go from the waist all the way down to your upper thighs, with the garter belt attachments. The shaper thang. I love that look, especially with seemed silk stockings and the vintage pump.

If you're going for the torpedo style bra, then the garter with seamed stockings seems like the finishing touch. Along with Mischka's panties. And some chunky heeled MaryJanes.

Ooh, Lawd. This is getting good. I'm getting all excited just thinking about it. I wish I you could style me. Like playing dress-up for big-kids! I like the idea for hair and makeup, a lot. I may have to go do research looking at pinup girls (pure torture, I tell ya!) to find out how they did their hair, too.

And I can definitely locate a vintage chair. I know someone who's got a great space with excellent light and the perfect setting. This could be fun.
