Well, right after I posted, the temperature went up to 35, the sleet turned to rain, and all the goop melted.
An hour ago, the rain stopped, and although cold, it was at leats clear. I tossed on my gear (technology is wonderful - I wore less than when I was running in Kentucky 5 years ago in April) and had at it. No ice, no slicks, steady pace - I even shaved about a minute off my overall time.
As I was stretching, I actually felt the temperature drop and saw a skin of ice start to form on the puddles!
