What's most important to you, a story's rating, number of votes, or number of views? To me the number of views is the most important. What I care about the most is reaching as large an audience as possible. Let's face it, the overwhelming majority of viewers (most, but not all of whom, actually read the story, or at least skim it) don't vote. Unless you get a lot of votes, there's no way of knowing if the opinions of those who vote accurately reflects those of the ones who don't vote. Also, some people do manipulate the voting, or try to, at least. So you have to take a story's (or poem's) rating with somewhat of a grain of salt.

Personally, my most successful story on LE has been "My First Gangbang," in all three categories-- rating, numbver of votes, and number of views. My least successful has been "My Second Gangbang," with only about 2,000 views. I think that's because when it was first put on the site, in the new stories, it was buried from the start so far down the list that no one got to it.
