Views in the first 24 hours

My first ever story here was just accepted (Sci-Fi) and I got 1031 views in less than 24 hours. But I have no idea if that is a good result Do you guys remember how you started? How many views for your first day of your first story?

Just write your stories, man. It's not a popularity contest. (And if it is, this is really the wrong place to try and win. There are a lot more factors at work than just what you write and how you write it.)

The number of views (which include back clicks because the story sucked) is totally meaningless. I don't even look at that number.

The volumn of views is tied to the catagory. Incest, Loving Wives and Interracial will get LOTS of views by the unwashed masses. Non-Erotic will get very few. All the other catagories are somewhere in between.

Sci-Fi has a small but dedicated audience. A lot of views on the first day would not be unusual. But the views would drop quickly over time.
