View attachments

How come all of sudden I can’t view any of the attachments in threads?

Based on what I've read here, the links that say "View Attachment" refer to images stored on Lit's servers, and have a time limit in order to conserve space. They are also vetted for compliance with Lit's suitability policy in order to reduce Lit's exposure to legal problems. But links that take you to external sources that host images outside the control of Lit, still work because they aren't Lit's responsibility and therefore can't create a liability for Lit. If I'm wrong, I hope someone else will correct me.

Thanks. That sounds logical - I haven't been able to open ANY attachments, no matter how recent. (sigh)

VIEW ATTACHMENTS: You are correct. LIT and if they host any type of pictures on their servers or site, is basically responsible for its content and nature. Additionally in the meantime there were many repeated and additional compliance and regularly picture attachment policies mandated by LIT. Some of those to the dismay of the readers.

As such people like me started the use of external ’’Picture Hosting’’ sites outside the control of LIT and those providing its users to easily distribute and post photos web-wide. For myself I posted about 25 personal pictures and or links over the past 10-weeks and specifically for the reason that they would address and support my replies to the subjects at large. No problem ever of so far!
