Ok, so how do I make and record a video? Also, I have a short tape of my hubby and I but its on camcorder tape. My camcorder is hooked up to my computer now. Is there anyways I can transfer it to my computer, the already finished short video? I am pretty sure I know how to record a video at this point and put it on the computer...but I dont know if I can transfer an already made one onto the computer...know what I mean? Anyone help?

BTW, I will have a video on here to share soon enough

I have a Sony VAIO PC, fitted for digital editing (Sony also gave tons of software to do it).

It's no problem transferring it from the tape to your computer. Capturing it from your tape is really no different than capturing it live.

I think it depends on what kind of camera it is, how does it connect to the computer. Does it hook to a USB port, Firewire port or with rca plugs.

What kind of camera do you have, and what brand of computer do you have?

If you're capturing videos directly to your computer, then you can also capture (copy) them to your computer for editing.

the easiest way to do it if the video is on VHS would be to burn it onto a dvd and then use a dvd ripping software to rip it off the dvd and onto your pc. on a side note dependent on the size of the video you will either need to host the video on your own server or do some heavy duty compressing to make it fit onto lit. it that case compressing it into .rar files would be the easiest way. but you would have to have a .rar and i think you would have to pay for one of those but i am not sure.
