I get Health Magazine. I tried to find the article on the site (Health.com) but all I could find was the link to the Discussion of it : http://www.health.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/000032.html

I would type it in, but it is WAY too long. However the gist of it was that certain people are currently taking the case back to court to reinstate the ban on Sex toys that was lifted in Alabama in 1999.

1999! It was illegal to sell sex toys until 1999? And now they want to reinstate the ban. Meaning jail time for anyone who sells them. Thoughts?

Maybe they should test it on the people trying to ban them
Especially the stuffy old men :D

They should ban something which can hurt or kill people, like guns for an example.

i think the legislators of that bill need to by a vibrator....that way if the bill passes or not, they could still go screw themselves!!

Someone get me a vibrator soon! Actually, I'll have to go out and get one... damn, how embarassing. But hey, not so embarassing now that I'm practically single again.

What if I bring my own vibrators along when I visit Alabama? Since I didn't buy or sell them there - am I still in trouble? Perhaps I should just not visit Alabama...

According to what was in the article, it was not illegal to use them in Alabama. It was illegal for them to be sold in Alabama.

And no, I like flesh and blood cock better, Gammy.

Your mood monitor fits you tonight.

I'm glad to hear you aren't stuck on plastic.

I thought it was still illegal to buy them in Alabama. When you look at websites selling such toys, Alabama is one of the states that is listed as a place they won't ship to.
(On all the ones I have looked at, anyway. My last lover lives in Birmingham. I wanted to order some goodies to arrive in the mail before my visit but the idea was nixed simply because--you can't get things shipped there.)

Here in Houston, there are regulations about selling "life-like" sextoys in a store front. I don't remember the exact details though. Several stores here have catalogues that you can order the stuff out of though to get around that.

I don't know. The article was about a woman selling them at Mary Kay-like parties in women's homes. Apparently the ban was lifted in 1999, but she is in danger of having to stop selling them if the law is reinstated.

It was in the May issue of Health magazine.

I went to one of those parties where they sell that stuff. It was hysterical!!. Jello shooters and crazy women! Those southern states are pretty fundamentalist. I think Georgia still has a law against anal sex on it's books.

OH Honey come quick, their banning toys. Get the credit card out we need to buy before it's passed.

Oh geesh, with places like Adam and Eve, sex toys can never be outlawed again. Heck, Lit has it's own toy site. Get with the times people.
Besides what woman would be embarrassed buying a vibrator. Grow up, eh. Maybe the rule should be, if you're embarrassed, you're to young to buy one.

Who said they were embarassed?

Well.

Looks like I'll need to start my christmas shopping sooner then I thought.
