Hi, this is my first time posting on Lit, and I just had a question that I hope someone would be able to help me out with. I have one of the bullet vibrators that have a control on them, and then a wire that attaches to the actual vibrator, and I have been having some problems with them. I've had 4-5 different vibrators like this, but it seems like after a few weeks of using the vibrator the wire begins to break, and the vibrator stops working. I did some shopping online and found a vibrator like this that has the vibrator portion of the toy that is removable from the control handle with a 1/8" plug that looks like the plug to a set of headphones. I was hoping that there was somewhere online that sold just the replacement vibrator part with the cord, but not the control part since I already have one of those.

Thanks for the help.

It sounds like they're either crappy vibes, or you're misusing them by putting strain on the cord (e.g. picking it up/pulling them out by the cord)

I've never seen the bullet sold separately from a battery pack. You might try contacting the company you bought them from and asking if they can be bought separately, or for replacement if you haven't been straining the cord.

Wouldn't a detachable cord on a bullet be kind of dangerous... Seems like it could get lost in some interesting places :)

The cord is firmly connected to the bullet, it just detaches from the battery pack, kind of like your headphones have a cord that's attached, but can be unplugged from the ipod or other device.

I see... I just had this vision of some poor schlub in the E.R.... Gee Doc, I don't know that got there

"Gee, doctor. I lost my bullet and sent the gerbil in after it."

Hi,
We have found that they actually stop working because of liquid penetration!
Check where the wore enters the vibrator, it usually goes through a tiny hole in the plastic case. Body fluids, lubricant and cleaning water ingress through there over time and cause the vibrator to stop operating.

The cure?

Its easy, get a tube of silicone bathroom/kitchen sealant and apply a small dab into the hole and around the wire as it enters, allow it to cure, problem solved. and alternative if you don't like the silicone idea is to use a tiny amount of an epoxy resin, this should be available at places that do car spares etc.

I don't think you want to put epoxy resin inside of you. Mixed with some PH levels, epoxy resin becomes toxic. I would just recommend using a condom over it. that way it makes it water proof and you have it already lubed up and ready to go.
