Yep, we got a vibrating ring in a kit, and that was pretty much our experience as well.

I don't think I've ever seen exactly what you're describing, and I've looked at a lot of toys. There are sleeves/pocket pussies that have a small vibe in them, and stretchy rings w/ vibes like this one (that link has a demo video that might help you determine if it'll work for you), but I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for.

If you can't find what you want on the market, you could probably make it out of a small vibe and some sort of material, though.
