I don't usually pass on news like this, but sometimes we need to pause and remember what life is, and what it's all about. Scanning the net for news I came upon something which got sort of overshadowed by George Harrison's death.
There was another great loss recently in the entertainment world. Larry LaPrise, the Detroit native who wrote (among other, less well-known pieces) the song "The Hokey Pokey" died last week at the age of 83.
It was especially difficult for the family, which had requested the mortuary host an open-casket wake. First, they put his left leg in and....well, things just started going downhill from there.
