I don't usually pass on news like this, but sometimes we need to pause and remember what life is, and what it's all about. Scanning the net for news I came upon something which got sort of overshadowed by George Harrison's death.

There was another great loss recently in the entertainment world. Larry LaPrise, the Detroit native who wrote (among other, less well-known pieces) the song "The Hokey Pokey" died last week at the age of 83.

It was especially difficult for the family, which had requested the mortuary host an open-casket wake. First, they put his left leg in and....well, things just started going downhill from there.

Sometimes you just have to laugh.....humor - that's what it's all about.

Oh god, thanks, really. I needed that badly.

You know, I've had that joke e-mailed to me about a dozen times in the last year, and normally I piss and moan about forwarded jokes...but that one's pretty damned funny.

ROFL!! Thanks LukkyKnight! I needed that. It has been a trying past few weeks and I seem to be looking for more laughs in my life, so thank you!

LOL..........now that's funny.
I wanted to dance on his grave but I didn't know how to do the Hokie Pokie that well.

 At first I thought you were serious but the blonde moment passed.

Lukky...........funneee

:p

Every time someone "famous" dies, someone posts this old joke... I must have seen this for the first time about ten years ago [sigh] - let's have something original, please!!!

Styphon

Wasn't new to me, either, Styp

But for the number of laughs it was worth it. Rather than complain why don't you actually post some joke nobody's ever seen before?
