That is one of the primary ways that it works. The unvaccinated are more likely to get ill and pass it along, every time it's passed it changes a tiny bit, the same way that you are not your parents. You are some random half and half. Most are close enough to the former strain to be mistaken as the same thing but eventually they change enough to be distinct.

The big risk ironically is the combination of vaccinated and unvaccinated. The vaccinated can only get infected with strains that are sufficiently bad ass to multiply in what for them is a toxic environment.

This ultimately is something that should have been organized and executed some how at the global level with everybody on one page. None of this "Florida is doing fine how is the rest of the South doing cus last I checked there aren't check points between the states down in that area. Soi t can change and even if it doesn't we shouldn't be basing policy on one state that could create the next strain.

Covid came on the scene under mysterious circumstances. Big Pharma and the medical community made a fortune (does anyone think they are really that upset over having full beds). It wanned. Money was drying up. Oh NOES!!!!! Along comes a Delta. The money spigot opened again and there was much rejoicing.

But... everyone needs another shot! It's good for you. It's good for your neighbor. It's good for the COUNTY, by Allah! More importantly, it's good for Pharma Q4 profits.

And lo - let there be Omicron! Yay, we are saved through Q2 next year!!! Let the money flow! We can all get a fourth shot! Hospitals will all be buying CAT scanners!
