I will be careful and slow...I'm not so sure about the losing myself part though...lol...It's been a dream and a fantasy for so long that I'm not sure I won't get a bit lost to begin with if I do meet someone who I find I can trust, etc. I think the reason I have never really actively looked for this before is because I was young and did put myself into some not so great situations. Now I'm quite a bit older and wiser so I really think that I won't just jump into anything.

Yes User CP is the Control Panel.

Open that. From there, click on "Edit options".

Check (or uncheck) the e-mail and private message options you'd like to have active.

Finally, Save changes.
