Maybe not, I think I put up some pictures with my face though they were mostly dressed as maid or schoolgirl. I think I have nudes with my face in some places, even on these threads.

I usually can't fit my face in the camera with my fat ass so I guess that's why my face isn't in most of them. And it's not that important, unless we're famous and known personalities it might not matter too much where and how our nudes are. Caution is better though, you're right.
