VERSATILE LADIES by Lawrence Block
5 Starz
Amazon readers score it 2 starz.
Back in the 70s Block published several sexual manuals, each with a distinct theme. This book is about bisexual women, tho its a lot more. That is, Block interviewed several women about how they became bisexual. All the subjects in this book started as swingers tho their swinging was often limited to activities like bdsm, straight wife swapping, 3-somes, group sex, etc. Quite often their straight husbands became bisexual, too, tho not as often as the girls. Block says ALL WOMEN ARE BISEXUAL. Not so, with men.
Amazon readers dislike the book because its aimed at newbies. Much of the material is about how couples got started with whatever they like, and how the wife got involved with women. The bdsm chapter was interesting. Hubby hired a hooker to join them. He wanted deep throat, the wife refused to do any oral, so he and the hooker tied the wife up and aroused her till she agreed to blow jobs. The arousal included plenty of oral from the hooker. This was followed by forming bdsm newbie groups with other couples in town.
The connection methods are 1970s. No internet, letters and pix and phone calls for a solid month. I usta meet women at McDonalds, then move to a parked car outside if she was comfortable. I discovered women are usually ready and able if they wanna go outside with you.
This is a good tutorial for those of us with limited sexual educations. And its a useful guide if you want an idea of where things go after you get into wife swapping, 3-somes, bdsm, etc. But you wont learn any Boy Scout knots, or how to use alcohol/drugs in your play. It will illuminate how you get from the car to point B.
