This is a thread for my music. The music I like. The music I want to hear more of. The music I think others may like.

But also this is a thread for you guys out there to submit songs you like, and think I'd like too.

For the longest time I was musically lost. I liked popular songs but had never found that sound that spoke to my soul. The type of music that just says this is what I was waiting my entire life to hear.

I have found two different bands out there that signifies my jam.

The first of which is:

The Heavy~What Makes a Good Man

Ain't Nothing Wrong With This Chemistry
Ain't Nothing Wrong With This Place For Me
Time Tell The Place Of Pedigree
Experience Is Another One
Meant For Me

To Tell Me Now
(Tell Me Now)
And Show Me How
(Show Me How)
To Understand
(Understand)
What Makes A Good Man

To Tell Me Now
(Tell Me Now)
And Walk The Line
(Walk The Line)
And Understand
(Understand)
What Makes A Good Man

Now I Ain't Tired Of Sweating For Blood And Dirt
I Ain't Tired Of Sweating For...
What It's Worth
Cos Lines Get Drawn
Lines Get Kicked And Blurred
Indelible, Is What I Need To Spread The Word

And Tell Me Now
(Tell Me Now)
And Show Me How
(Show Me How)
To Understand
(Understand)
What Makes A Good Man

To Tell Me Now
(Tell Me Now)
And Walk The Line
(Walk The Line)
And Understand
(Understand)
What Makes A Good Man
Good Man

To Tell Me Now
(Tell Me Now)
And Show Me How
(Show Me How)
To Understand
(Understand)
What Makes A Good Man

To Tell Me Now
(Tell Me Now)
And Walk The Line
(Walk The Line)
And Understand
(Understand)
What Makes A Good Man
Good Man
Good Man
Good Man
Good Man
Good Man
Good Man
What Makes A...
Good Man
Good Man
Good Man
What Makes A...
Good Man
Good Man

Now I'd like to ask you out there: were you like me? Did you search for a long time looking for your jam? If so: How long did it take you before you found it? What was it like when you heard it? Was it like me and the instant recognition that this was what I was searching my whole life for? And what was it?

The second band that signifies my jam:

Vintage Trouble~Blues Hand Me Down

Papa was a blues man
Gave me the blues hand me down
An alligator shoes man
Gave me the blues hand me downs
Moonshine drinking
Do everything but thinking
Blues hand me downs

Racing the wrong way
Chasing every skirt in town
Taking the long way
Waiting for the sun to come out
Wheeling and hustling
Dealing and shuffling
Blues hand me downs

Lord, have mercy on my soul
I didn’t know
You never know

A fighter. No lover.
No fucking around
And just like my big brother
He stood on shaky ground
His pride got the best of him
Smoking got the rest of him
Blues hand me downs

Lord, have mercy on your soul
I didn’t know
You never know

Hand me down blues
Hand me down blues
Hand me down blues

I come from vintage trouble
Look out if I’m the one you found
I’ll pop your bubble
With my live wire, straight shooting dirty mouth
Papa was a blues man
Please baby understand
I got the, got the, got the, got the
Blue hand me downs

Lord, have mercy on your soul
You didn’t know
They never know

Hand me down blues
Hand me down blues
Hand me down blues

More from the 1st of my fave bands

The Heavy~How you Like Me Now

Now there was a time
When you loved me so
I could have been wrong
But now you needed to know
See, I've been a bad, bad, bad, bad man
And I'm in deep, Yes I am
I found a brand new love for this man
And I can't wait till you see
I can't wait

So how you like me now
How you like me now
How you like me now
How you like me now

How you like me now
How you like me now
How you like me now
How you like me now

Remember the time
When I eat you up
You know that I wasn't lyin'
that you can't give up
So if I was to cheat
on you baby would you see right through me
If I sing a sad, sad, sad, sad song
would you give it to me

How you like me now
How you like me now
How you like me now
How you like me now

How you like me now
How you like me now
How you like me now
How you like me now

Does that make you love me baby
Does that make you want me baby
Does that make you love me baby
Does that make you want me baby

How you like me now
How you like me now
How you like me now
How you like me now

Rolling Stones~Miss You

I've been holding out so long
I've been sleeping all alone
Lord, I miss you

I've been hanging on the phone
I've been sleeping all alone
I want to kiss you

Well, I've been haunted in my sleep
You've been starring in my dreams
Lord, I miss you

I've been waiting in the hall
Been waiting on your call
When the phone rings

It's just some friends of mine that say
"Hey, what's the matter man?
We're gonna come around at twelve
With some Puerto Rican girls that's just dyin' to meet you"

"We're gonna bring a case of wine
Hey, let's go mess and fool around
You know, like we used to"

Oh, everybody waits so long
Oh baby, why you wait so long?
Won't you come home, come home?

I've been walking Central Park
Singing after dark
People think I'm crazy

Stumbling on my feet
Shuffling through the street
Ask me people, "What's the matter with you boy?"

Sometimes I want to say to myself
Sometimes I say

I won't miss you child

I guess I'm lying to myself
It's just you and no one else
Lord, I won't keep you child

You've been blotting out my mind
Fooling on my time
No, I won't miss you, baby, yeah

Lord, I miss you child
Lord, I miss you child
Lord, I miss you child

Mophine~You Look Like Rain

Your mind and your experience call to me
You have lived and your intelligence is sexy

I want to know what you got to say
I want to know what you got to say
I want to know what you got to say
I can tell you taste like the sky 'cause you look like rain

You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain

You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain

You think like a whip on a horse's back
Stretched out to the limit you make it crack
Send that horse round and round the track

I want to know what you got to say
I want to know what you got to say
I want to know what you got to say
I can tell you taste like the sky 'cause you look like rain

You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain

You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain

You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain

You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain

Yeah you look like rain
You look like rain

Bonnie Taylor~Holding out For a Hero

Where have all the good men gone and where are all the Gods?
Where's the street wise Hercules to fight the rising odds?
Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and I turn and I dream of what I need

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong and he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be sure and it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life, larger than life

Somewhere after midnight in my wildest fantasy
Somewhere just beyond my reach there's someone reaching back for me
Racing on the thunder and rising with the heat
It's gonna take a Superman to sweep me off my feet

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong and he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be sure and it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night

Up where the mountains meet the heavens above
Out where the lightning splits the sea
I could swear that there's someone somewhere watching me

Through the wind and the chill and the rain
And the storm and the flood
I can feel his approach like a fire in my blood

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong and he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be sure and it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong and he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be sure and it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night

Ram Jam~Black Betty

Whoa, Black Betty (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, Black Betty (bam-ba-lam)
Black Betty had a child (bam-ba-lam)
The damn thing gone wild (bam-ba-lam)
She said "I'm worryin' outta mind" (bam-ba-lam)
The damn thing gone blind (bam-ba-lam)
I said Oh, Black Betty (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, Black Betty (bam-ba-lam)

Oh, Black Betty (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, Black Betty (bam-ba-lam)
She really gets me high (bam-ba-lam)
You know that's no lie (bam-ba-lam)
She's so rock steady (bam-ba-lam)
And she's always ready (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, Black Betty (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, Black Betty (bam-ba-lam)

Whoa, Black Betty (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, Black Betty (bam-ba-lam)

David Arkenstone~Seduction

Oh, oh, oh

Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh

[Verse 1:]
I got lots of jealous lovers that all wish they had me back
Got a pistol for a mouth, my old mama gave me that
Making my own road out of gravel and some wine
And if I have to fall then it won't be in your line

[Pre-Chorus:]
Everybody's doing it so why the hell should I
Everybody's doing it so why the hell should I

[Chorus:]
I'm a bad woman to keep
Make me mad, I'm not here to please
Paint me in a corner but my colour comes back
Once you go black, you never go back
I'm a black sheep
I'm a black sheep

[Verse 2:]
I wasn't born a beauty queen but I'm okay with that
Maybe radio won't mind if I sing a little flat
I wear my boots to bed, hang a cross up on the wall
To save me from a shallow grave that wants to take us all

[Pre-Chorus:]
Everybody's doing it so why the hell should I
Everybody's doing it so why the hell should I

[Chorus:]
I'm a bad woman to keep
Make me mad, I'm not here to please
Paint me in a corner but my colour comes back
Once you go black, you never go back
I'm a black sheep
I'm a black sheep
I'm a black sheep
I'm a black sheep

[Repeat Verse 1:]
I got lots of jealous lovers that all wish they had me back
Got a pistol for a mouth, my old mama gave me that
Making my own road out of gravel and some wine
And if I have to fall then it won't be in your line

[Chorus:]
I'm a bad woman to keep
Make me mad, I'm not here to please
Paint me in a corner but my colour comes back
Once you go black, you never go back

[Outro:]
Once you go black, you never go back
Once you go black, you never go back
Once you go black, you never go back
Once you go black, you never go back

Gin Wigmore~Black Sheep

Two, three, four

(Woo-hoo, woo-hoo)
(Woo-hoo, woo-hoo)

Well my heart knows me better than I know myself
So I'm gonna let it do all the talking.
(Woo-hoo, woo-hoo)
I came across a place in the middle of nowhere
With a big black horse and a cherry tree.
(Woo-hoo, woo-hoo)

I felt a little fear, upon my back
I said don't look back, just keep on walking.
(Woo-hoo, woo-hoo)
But the big black horse said look this way,
Said "hey lady, will you marry me?
(Woo-hoo, woo-hoo)

But I said no, no, no, no-no-no
I said no, no, you're not the one for me
No, no, no, no-no-no
I said no, no, you're not the one for me

(Ooooo, woo-hoo)

My heart hit a problem, in the early hours,
So I stopped it dead for a beat or two.
(Woo-hoo, woo-hoo)
But I cut some cord, and I shouldn't have done that,
And it won't forgive me after all these years
(Woo-hoo, woo-hoo)

So I sent to a place in the middle of nowhere
With a big black horse and a cherry tree.
(Woo-hoo, woo-hoo)
But it won't come back, 'cause it's oh so happy
And now I've got a hole for the world to see
(Woo-hoo, woo-hoo)

And it said no, no, no, no-no-no
I said no, no, you're not the one for me
No, no, no, no-no-no
Said no, no, you're not the one for me

(Ooooo, woo-hoo) (not the one for me, yeah)
(Ooooo, woo-hoo)
Said no, no, no, no, no, no, no
You're not the one for me
Said no, no, no, no, no, no, no
You're not the one for me

Big black horse and a cherry tree
I can't quite get there cause they've all forsaken me
Big black horse and a cherry tree
I can't quite get there cause they've all forsaken me
