The remote control wearable vibrators (e.g., butterfly) are pretty expensive, but would be worth it if they worked well - actually stimulated and didn't make a loud noise. Some of the erotica on this site even centers around these things. With Xmas coming, I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on their experience with one before I fill someone's stocking. We have enough toys that didn't work out - I don't want to add another really expensive one.

Maybe an expensive one would work OK. However, I have a constitutional reluctance to shell out a bunch of money on something I haven't tried before when I know I'm not going to be able to return it. I got a cheap one. It seemed to have some kind of short in it so that I would move and it would cut out. Eventually it quit working altogether.

Where's Etoile, our resident toy expert, when you need her to chime in with her invaluable experience??

I haven't used one of these devices before, but I have heard reviews of them. Generally, the butterfly style don't have a great reputation. They don't stay in position very well and therefore don't provide a great deal of stimulation. A more effective style seems to be the kind that employ a bullet-vibe (or something very similar) tucked into a customized pocket on the inside of a pair of panties. Thus, the vibe stays in position providing better stimulation.

If you check the website of toy stores, they often have reviews of their products, and I would urge you to read them. Good Vibrations is one example-- http://www.goodvibes.com/cgi-bin/sg...TNAME=magazine/our_regulars/gvrl/2002082.html . If the link doesn't work, goto www.goodvibes.com, then follow the links to their magazine, its archives, and then to the article on "remote vibe adventures."

Have fun and let us know what you eventually get!

I had one a character in one of my stories using a butterfly. But all my protagonists have more money than I do. And she could afford one that worked.

I would agree with Duck on this. I have a butterfly and they dont stay in place very well. What I did was to remove the straps and replace them with ones I made for it and it did much better. Personally I do like the eggs that are inserted. I put it in and let my husband use the remote control (we have the wireless version, spendie but well worth it for the fun we get out of it) when we go out in public, Nothing turns me on more than strolling through the mall and having to stop and brace myself while having an orgasm with all these people around me and them not knowing (unless they're real close to me). I also love to ride his cock with it in and rubbing the top of his cock as it vibrates against my g-spot.

The one that I've used (and would highly recommend) is the Oyster from www.buttontoys.com. It's a little expensive, but it works great and is absolutely silent -- designed from a Japanese camera motor or something.

It's also a "friction fit" design, so it requires a snug pair of panties (or a good tight crotch rope  ) but it was quite a turn on watching her try to order in an expensive restaurant while I sat across the table, idly toying with the remote....
