I know this topic has been written about before, but I just need to vent. In a thread from Literotica, they told us stories are normally published within 48-72 hours unless there are other issues which may cause publishing to be delayed by 15 days. However, there is no instruction on what to do after 15 days. There is no explanation on what may cause a story to be sent for extra vetting other than illustrations.
Literotica Authors write for free. It takes a considerable amount of our personal time to write and edit stories. Most of mine are between 20 & 30 Google Doc pages and it takes some effort to create them. I've tried messaging Laurel and others with no response. I understand she must get deluged with messages.
It's not asking too much to do the following:
1. Let us know what triggers further review that may delay publishing so we can avoid those mistakes.
2. Tell us what we should do after our story hasn't been published after 15 days. We're left guessing on what to do and risk having it sent to the back of the line if we try to free it up.
3. Let us know if it has been sent for further vetting so we at least know where it is. Right now, we don't know if our stories got lost in cyberspace or are still in the que.
That isn't asking a lot from the only people who are making money off of our work.
