So say's Breitbart's editor.

Dana Loesch said:
That’s the big thing that progressives are trying to say, that it’s rape and so on and so forth. And in fact, this big battle that I’ve, uh, totally won with Keith Olbermann by the way, like, not only won once but twice and three times… uh, there were individuals saying, [high voice] “Oh what about the Virginia rape? The rapes that, the forced rapes of women who are pregnant?” What!?

Wait a minute, they had no problem having similar to a trans-vaginal procedure when they engaged in the act that resulted in their pregnancy.

Indeed it is. Forced sex.

I think there's a term for that.

Un hunh. The opinion comes from a major tea party leader. Tell me again how the TP have no social agenda, merely fiscal?

It's weird, it's almost like rape is like having sex.

pregnant women can't be raped cos they obviously had sex at some point and those whores probably liked it and it's basically the same thing.

this should apply to all non virgins.

That's pretty much what her argument is, yeah.

Honestly, I think it's just a very overlapping venn diagram.

Not that it matters. Labels have imploded anyway. On the fiscal side, they're not conservative, but reactionary. On the social side, they're not conservative, but regressive.

I'm so incredibly disappointed in my state.
I'd be outraged. Absolutely ridiculous legislation.

Btw, I have to give some kudos to Janet Howell for this:

“They are taking us back generations,” Virginia state Sen. Janet Howell said. “Virginia has been known as a moderate state, a pro-business state, and now we are turning dramatically backwards. Nobody can say these are moderate views and I think it’s going to be discouraging to woman and families who want to move to Virginia for business purposes.”

Howell introduced an amendment to the bill that failed which would have required men to receive a digital rectal exam and cardiac stress test before they would be able to be prescribed erectile dysfunction medications such as Viagra and Cialis.

“I was fed up with the way woman’s rights were being trampled in Virginia,” Howell said. “We didn’t have the votes to stop the bill, so I thought I’d use satire and bring a little gender equity to the situation.”

She made her point, it's not about the health of the patient, it's an attempt by the state to discourage abortion by forcing the patient to see the fetus.

I wholeheartedly agree with this statement.

I looked her up. She dropped out of a pissant journalism school. A monkey could get a journalism degree from a prestigious school and she couldn't hack it from a barely average one.
Her opinions are her own and if she wants to be ignorant then fine. Nothing we say will change that. I don't like drop-outs though. They're quitters who then go on to tell everyone how smart they are. Never met a drop-out that didn't think they were the smartest person in the room. The few that really are smart don't make up for the vast majority that are lazy and stupid.

I think it's not as much to force the patient to see the fetus as it is to inconvenience, humiliate and intimidate her.

No, it's to force them to see it. It's their whole point. They figure if the woman sees the living fetus she will change her mind. In many cases that is probably true.

Again, I agree...forcing a woman to view the fetus would humiliate, intimidate and more. I think it's a form of harassment, and I can't believe it's now going to be legal protocol.

it could be both.

being forced to have an invasive procedure that's designed to guilt you into feeling bad for aborting your future kid seems geared towards intimidation to me -- no doubt it's a multi pronged approach.

It will go to the SCOTUS and it will be declared unconstitutional. Has to be.

Yes, I think you're correct.

I really, really hope my representatives voted against this...

Another bill that passed the Virginia house but not yet made its way to Senate would provide rights to “unborn children at every stage of development,” thereby effectively making certain kinds of contraception illegal, as well as abortion.
