I submitted a story about a week ago. It sat there in the Submissions section of my Profile awaiting approval. Now it has vanished completely without being posted!

Any thoughts/similar experiences?

Hello, Horn,

Welcome to LIT. Did you click on the 'view' choice under submissions and not get a listing showing it's status?

You'll probably have to PM Laurel and ask. But make sure you explain that it was there 'pending' for a while and now it's gone. I would suggest a subject line of Pending Story Disappeared

Good luck

Non sequiturs

Dear Horn,
Usually three to five days. Up to a week if it's rutting season.
MG
Ps.
First we'll use Spahn, followed by Sain,
Then a day off, followed by rain.
Next we'll use Spahn, then we'll start Sain,
and pray to the Lord for two days of rain.

Pps. Name of the day: Dick Pound - Head of the International Athletic Anti-doping Orginization.

Non-secretors

Looks like the thread pixies have charmed another one away

Must be time to find another site.
Seems like I did a non-secretor pun when I first showed up here.
I don't want to go through it again. :(
I hate deja vue!

It's a computer program and glitches happen. Re-submit your story and it should work. What are the odds of being struck by lightning twice?

was waiting to see the Math Girl's line! She outdid herself this time! I think they had trouble with the hardware the past couple of weeks horn....so resubmit and all should be well.

A common mis-conception. As a matter of fact after being struck by lighting once, your chances of NOT being struck by lightning are a lot less.

A technicality I know but, when you're struck by lightning you are in fact struck thousands of times in the space of a second or two.

Back to the thread: Resubmit.

Thank-you all for your replies - in their varying degrees of constructiveness.

I have now resubmitted and hope that my story (which, off and on - mainly off, has taken over a year to write) will finally appear in the not-too-distant future.

Regards
Horn
