Alright, here goes. My thoughts tend to be scattered, so I hope I don't confuse ya.

Hmm.. ::Thinks:: I take it you'll be playing a female?

How about a recluse of a vampire, a lord of a land. Maybe sometime during the medieval era? It's rumored that he has his entourage steal away young men and women to torture/kill, and yet no one in the town has the courage to uprise against him. He might be cruel, but he protects his land.

The rumors are true, of course, to an extent. While he does steal away people, it's not to torture them, but to sate his hunger, which tends to be rather intense. Loses control and ends up killing the person more often than not.

With this.. he's beginning to question his humanity, and what might be for him once he expires, if he ever does.

As for your gal.. hm. It could be either someone he takes away, or someone caught on his land. With the latter, he could be cruel in the beginning, then wants to attempt to show her that he can be kind. With the former, could almost be the same thing, but with less cruelty.

Thoughts?

Um. I've never crossed over...so yeah. Female. Haha.

Alright. I get your character. I admit, it does learn towards the character of Lestat, just during a different time period. Which is fine. I just don't want it to paralell Anne Rice.

I'm thinking my character is also a vampire - it levels the playing field for your character. A complete opposite - also a recluse, but not insatiable. Feeds to survive. Chooses to drink the blood of animals rather than humans until it becomes a necessity.

And with the suggestions to my character, I flashed back to Beauty and the Beast. Except this is darker. And more sexual. Obviously...Haha.

It leans towards Lestat? How so? I can't say I've read the books, and what I saw of the movie he was very open among the public.

My guy will only be insatiable due to how he was raised (poor, was used to eating as much as he could, habit never changed) more than simply to be a glutton by feeding from different types like they were courses at a buffet.

Hm.. Either that, or feeding is just like a drug to him and it's hard to stop.

Something else entirely different could be thought up, too. I'm just tossing what came to mind first. I'm extremely open to any type of storyline.

The movie touched on it, but not really. Lestat had his manager find girls, dying to meet him because of his celebrity music star status, and brought them to his home. Where he would feed on them. Your character has his associate bring them (I'm assuming) either unwillingly or by trickery.

And you can choose your characters motivation/cause for the incapability for satisfaction.

How my character would meet yours, however, is still a bit of a mystery. I like the fact that both would be vampires. Then there is balance of power. But I don't know where/ how we would meet, or if I could/would/should be held captive, etc.

Ah! The "new" movie. The one I happened to inadvertently erase from my memory banks. I completely forgot about that one even though I really liked the music.

Well in that case, there are a few differences. These people are both men and women, and they reaaally don't want to meet the Lord. Also, the middle man can be cut out completely, and he could go off.

While I'd like to stay away from the Anne Rice deal, she did the typical, to say the least. But I assure you, I have no plans on becoming the next Rice, especially when I haven't read her books.

As for how they would meet. Hm.. He could be quite territorial, and she could've crossed into his "feeding grounds".

LoL.

I really like that. She's a drifter, happening to drift into the area and need human sustenance in order to continue traveling to her next destination - being too far for her to travel to without said sustenance.

Feeding the night she arrives, then going to the local inn for a room. A body would be found, unusual for whatever reason, and rumors would fly.

I really really like it.

Excellente. That should work marvelously. Upon hearing something like that, when he didn't do it this time, he just might go investigate himself. No one truly knows what the Lord looks like, so it could work.

Woot. Beautiful. So. Now that that's settled. To work on bio's?

For me personally, I prefer writing my bio's in 3rd, and then (usually...depending) writing the IC thread in first. But it's up to you.

Sure, write them here? And if you don't mind, maybe you can start us off? Would give me something to work off of.

Just lemme know what the thread name will be.

Name: Gillian Demontes
Age: Bitten at the age of 22

Long, sleek black hair and glowing slate colored eyes. Skin that is less pale than one would expect. Of average height and slender. Dressed plainly, and often hooded - though never hunched.

Gillian was now nearing her hundreth year as a vampire. She had fallen in love with a man that in reality, she knew nothing about. They'd planned on marrying, but he and his brother had feasted upon her and her family. Feeling sympathetic for his so-called love, he'd shared with her his gift and curse - thinking that she would join them. Revolted by his deeds, she'd killed them both and had disappeared.

She ate only when she had too. Usually, she drank the blood of a chicken or pig. She hadn't the money to pay for it, so she would quietly kill the creature, drink her fill, and continue on her way. She wandered and drifted as she pleased, going in random directions. Never knowing exactly where she was headed or why.

Most men she met in her travels were disgusting pigs themselves. And the blood of the one's she drank deserved to die. Those thoughts are what kept her from shriveling and withering away. The act of drinking a man's bloood revulted and disgusted Gillian, but she did not want to die.

As of her own kind, she was equally disgusted. They too, were pigs. They were feines. They thought themselves superior, but were in truth scum. Gillian refused to associate herself with her own kind, lest she be humiliated.

She traveled at night, not because of the sun but because of how much easier it was to travel. The light, though occasionally painful on unusually bright summer days, was not deadly to her. Her features were amplified by her immortality, and the sun only highlighted the fact that she was quite beautiful. When the moon shone bright it was yet still difficult to hide, but she wore a hood and covered herself as best as possible.

Where she was headed to next was a great deal further from whatever her next destination would be. She regretted traveling the way she had, but she never back tracked or recovered her footsteps. Gillian would have to feed before going onward if she expected to survive the mountainious trails that were ahead of her. She would have to ask if she could ride her horse, or if she would have to sell him. Which she also regretted because she had become quite attached to him. She was nearing the village, and without realizing had begun her hunt. It was easiest to find a stray villager outside of town, rather than in. She would feed that evening, sleep through the day, and then begin her travels again as the sun set.

Excellente. I will post mine tomorrow when I'm not running low on fuel. It's really early and I should be getting to bed.

Yeah...

After I finished it I shut down. Crashed. LoL. I'm usually okay, but I needed some sleep.

LoL.

Just to let you know, I didn't forget about you. Yesterday was massively busy and I didn't have time to write up his bio. I'll do that when I get home from work today.

By the by, did you make the IC thread? You can just post your bio there, and that can be your intro type of dealy, heh.

Yeah. I was just waiting to see. Life happens. LoL. I don't have class tonight, so I'm happy. LoL.

I'll wait on the IC. LoL. Mkay?

Ah it's cool. I don't mind people camping on an OOC board. This thread isn't closed. It's just for brainstorming. Which is why I was wondering why you didn't put your bio/intro on an IC one. Unless you were planning on making a completely different one, then I understand.

Anywho... On to my bit of bio.

LoL. I like putting the bio in the OOC first, that way I can look at the original, and edit it if I want to after seeing your bio.

Does that make sense? LoL.

I like making any changes before hand. LoL.

Name: Alexander Leopold
Age: Appears in his mid thirties.

Tall of stature and paler than most red heads, it is said that Alexander often has a temper to match. Broad shouldered but lithe, he unsurprisingly has the preternatural grace of a cat. He tends to dress comfortably, if not elaborately while within the walls of his Keep, and outside he tends to dress like the commoners.

Born to a pennyless family, he was one of many in his throng of siblings that was sent off to be trained for the upcoming Crusades, in return, they received wages and farmland.

It was during these wars that he met his fate upon the field; a blade to the stomach slowly bringing about his death. It was here that one of the Muslims he had been battling gave him a choice. Die, or live. He, of course, chose life, not knowing what was in store for him.

With the drinking of the man's blood, he became a monster.

Aziz ibn A'bar didn't abandon him, though. He taught him how to hunt, how to hone his skills, what he didn't teach him was the strife he would go through during this life. The lack of acceptance, fear, and the waning of one's humanity.

As the years passed, he found it was becoming increasingly difficult to stop himself while drinking. His hunger grew, and so did the death toll. He lost the ability to step out into the sun, and now fears of what other effects their might be. Were the myths correct when they said he would lose his reflection, and when that happened.. his soul?

It was a would be meal, a Catholic Priest, that had him further think of this, and fear what might be waiting for him once this seemingly enteral life expires.

No longer a pennyless cad, hundreds of years later, he now rules a portion of England as a Lord, one that's never seen among his people. Or so many of them say since they never know what he looks like. Regardless, they fear their strict lord, yet respect him for the protection he secures for the territories.
