Build separate enclosures for the chickens. Don't put more together then you are willing to kill off.
They have had YEARS to prepare for this.
I doubt the chicken farmers nationwide are hurting. Granting if you had to kill a million chickens and didn't have 10 million other chickens, that might hurt.

Building separate buildings and hiring enough workers so no workers can spread the disease between your flocks? THAT might be costly, but at least then we would be spending money for a GOOD reason that would create jobs.
