Hi Lit buddies. My name is Zephan and yes I am a newbe. I hope my newbe status will not keep you from helping me out however. I have a vacation coming up next week. I had such big plans for it but alas they did not work out. This is my first real vacation in over 5 years and since it took quite alot of planning to make it happen I did not just want to say forget it and go to work. I have my 60's vintage convertable tuned up and ready to go. I have hours and hours of mix tapes. I have everything ready. I just need a destination, lol.

This is where you come in. If there is a special place that you have been to that is quiet and peaceful. The kind of place a guy can go to find himself and think deep thoughts, tell me about it. If you do not know of a place then maybe you could just give me a direction. I am not sure how this will turn out but I am excited about it! Thanks

What I do??????????

All depends upon where you are, geographically speaking.

Me, I'd grab my fishing gear and golf clubs and head for the coast. The smaller the town, the better!

Niagra Falls. It's beautiful, and perfect. Or, go to Chicago. It kicks ass here.

Thanks Floridaguy. I am on the border between Iowa and Illinois In case anyone else was wondering.

Thank you too always, you are right Chicago does kick ass. I am looking for something a bit more quiet and further from home. Getting there will be the best part.

Probably a 12-16 hour drive for you, bey hey!......... didn't you say getting there was half the fun?

Floridaguy, thanks again, and yes getting there will be half the fun. I will check it out and thanks for the great suggestion!

Peaceful- take a drive around Lake Superior

Not too far from you, lots of peace and quiet.
