The night before we left - we hit the beach - the East River beach walk - we live a block away. The Shebabe and I take the knucklehead down there with a bottle of white and plastic cups. Do the wino bench thing and point out the boats to the kid. NYC is the worlds biggest beach town - most folks just don't think of it surrounded by water is all.

Yeah thanks, takes after his mom, I can't enought of the little bugger.

Got him a mini-guitar, a real one already. He started playing - individual strings when he was just a couple of monts old. I'd sit him up - put pillows on either side of him and lay one of my guitars down across his lap.

And he's nuts for anything with wheels - or boats - or planes. He's such a guy. A real dude.

A water rat too.

Lately he's into figuring out buckles. He'll concentrate for an hour putting this buckle together and taking it apart.

Knobs too - he won't play with his fisher price "switch, knob, trap door opener thingy," - he has to play with my equipment.

I dont know if I could do that to my kid. She's so rotten now, all she needs is a little more attention.

A friend of mine tried to get me into baby pagents, but its too much. If she wants to, Ill let her...but only IF she wants.

Yeah I hate stage mom (and pop) shit....

That's why we're so reluctant. And we live in a den of theives for that shit. We've been approached for commercials, magazines and we know this producer for Sesame Street - hell - she's almost an aunt to him. I mean - all we have to do is pull the trigger. But, but, but......

We don't think so.

is only a miniscule spec of what the RL Sparky is like.

Besides most of you are new around here these days - I don't often repeat past thread information - but it's all here somewhere in the archives.

Quite a few here even have my CD.

And that's not my only kid - got two more boys - 18 and 12.

As far as New York goes - I find most folks who don't like it - are simply predjuiced. Fact is, nobody can "know" and appreciate it - unless they live here quite some time. Real New Yorkers will tell you, "you can't call yourself a New Yorker until you've live here 10 years."

Just ask Dixon Lee.

I've been here 6 years and loved every minute of it - no where is life easier, or of higher quality, all with infinite options - IF - you have enough money to live here. If you don't - life here can be real sucky.

It's more like "Dog Years" time. Probably worse.

I mean I really have only been on this board a little over a year - but I am considered an old timer.

And I consider those who have been here under 3 months or so to be relatively new here.

In RL - this time relevance - would not be.
