I saw the movie last night and it portrayed the Lesbians in a positive light. In a society ruled by fear the woman was taken from her home along with her companion and were never seen again. In fact it likened all who were different especially Muslims and political prisoners to enemies of the state.

It was close to what happened in Nazi Germany. If you havent seen the movie I recommend you see it. It was written during Margaret Thatchers reign and meant to cast doubt on her reign. Ironically as much as it smacks of American or British Politics the real truth is it mirrors South African Politics of Apartheid.

Oh and there is a Benny Hill reference in it as well.

I was particularly fond of Natalie Portman with pigtails and a pink innocent-little-girl costume, myself. I think the movie as whole said a great deal more than commentary on Apartheid. Either way, it was a great comic book adaptation and I was pleasantly surprised.

The Benny Hill scene was great. I had a big laugh, but it seemed that there were a lot of people in the theater that just didn't get it. Friggin' kids don't know what they've missed.

I like Portman with short hair. She's too skinny though. I want to take her out and get her a burger or something.

She was a "healthy skinny" in the movie. I like petite women, but I know when something just isn't right with them physically. She seemed healthy enough for me anyway. :D

Not "healthy skinny" just not completely starved only half starved, still way too skinny. She needs to eat a nice big steak or something.
