absurd comment

why should they cooperate? they acted badly and are guilty, no need to help put the nail in the coffin

Aah yes, the save your own ass approach. Good look in the face of dead children

Then the comment that they should all be fired seems right on the money. Surely they shouldn't remain on the job while they await criminal charges.

cops are always vilified
Not so. In Buffalo, just as an example, they arrived quickly, went right in and saved lives and I haven't heard anyone say otherwise. My only quibble is that when the murderer threatened to kill himself, they should have encouraged him to do so.

fuck the public
You are a member of the public, so the same to you...

They were trained to literally do the opposite of what they did. That's just reality...not vilification

An investigation is about finding out the true events......that is regardless of public sentiment. The police seemingly don't want anyone to know the truth.

If it was my kid...they would have a whole lot more to worry about than cooperating with an investigation. It was a failure from every member..**** down...

There will definitely be many civil suits.

Video obtained by ABC News, taken outside Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, as last week's massacre was unfolding inside, appears to capture a 911 dispatcher alerting officers on scene that they were receiving calls from children who were alive inside the classroom that the gunman had entered -- as law enforcement continued to wait nearly an hour and a half to enter the room.
"Child is advising he is in the room, full of victims," the dispatcher can be heard saying in the video. "Full of victims at this moment."

An ABC News analysis of the video shows that was at approximately 12:13 p.m. -- about 40 minutes after the gunman entered the school.
the dispatcher continues... 8 or 9 children

The dispatcher's information heard on the video appears to match the readout of the 911 calls provided last week by law enforcement officials. McGraw said a child had called 911 saying she was in room 112 and had "advised there were multiple dead."

Later, McGraw said, "she called back and said there's eight to nine students alive."

Probably not cooperating on the advice of attorneys as they are no doubt targets of a possible criminal investigation. Texas should impanel a grand jury to get to the bottom of the issue.

The seven-member board had planned to confer in closed session with the school district's lawyer before voting on whether to terminate Arredondo from his post "for good cause," as recommended by Superintendent Hal Harrell, the agenda showed.

But the school district revised its website on Friday saying the session had been canceled "in conformity with due process requirements" and at the request of Arredondo's attorney, with the meeting still to be held at an unspecified later date.
fucker was scheduled to be terminated saturday, but it's got to be rescheduled and he's on unpaid administrative leave

Your comment they should be fired pending criminal charges.
So you are saying guilty before proven guilty? They’ve not had a trial. They can’t be guilty yet. Can they be fired for violating dept policy? Possibly. The investigation will determine that.
As for your comment… my only quibble is they didn’t encourage him to do so.
Umm. That’s illegal to do so. If someone encourages another to commit suicide. They can go to jail. That case has been taken to court already. A girl encouraged a guy she knew to commit suicide. She told him how to do it. Even told him to get back in the car and go through with it. While the exhaust was being pumped into the car.

principal and assistant on paid administrative leave for, according to reports, not getting the classroom door locked that the gunman is believed to have entered room through.

i don't know how neglectful this was, whether or not it was due to funding or oversight or simply not bothering, and if it's something that's supposed to be addressed immediately it's reported for security purposes. probably the latter for insurance purposes if nothing more.
