Ok so we've been sleeping together for the last couple of weeks. There was a pregnancy scare a while back so recently my SO went on the pill. The first time we slept together after she got on the pill, there was some blood. Aparently wasnt anything serious but its still very unnerving  and ideas on the matter would be much appreciated

* where are you spose to post questions that arent strickly how to??? *

I can't help you with the first part about that, sorry.
But, HT Cafe is a fine place to post all sorts of questions, I believe. :)

When girls get on birth control, they sometimes "spot" which means they will bleed a little bit at different times of the month, even when they're not on their period. That could've been it, but you said she had just started the pill. So I'm not really sure on this one...if it happens again you should talk to a professional because the birth control might be causing her problems.

Oh yeah, if shes on BC then thats pretty normal...If it continues to happen after a while (not just when she forgets to take the pill, though), then she should see a doctor about it.

From my experience, anytime i have started any kind of birthcontrol i tend to have bleeding here and there but mostly after sex... From what your telling me it seems completely normal, i wouldnt worry about it too much. When i was on the Depo almost everytime i had sex there was blood(for a year)... I would suggest she go to the doctor for Pap, just in case. :)

You've already been given what I'd say to the blood - spotting happens in the early months.

With regard to the difference between the HT and the HT Cafe.....

The HT is for questions just like these - the kind of question that in most cases have a subjective answer.

The HT Cafe is for more objective questions/concerns.... if you look at a thread on the Cafe side called 'What would you do' by Phoenix, he put it in the right place. He wants to discuss and hear about opinions - there isn't a right answer so to speak.

If he knew he was moving and wanted to know what the city had for public transportation, then the HT would be the place for that.

Some threads might start out as a real HT but become more discussion based - one of those is on the HT side, something about 'double penetration of the pussy' I think it's called. It has become far different from the original post and has become a discussion - it probably should be moved now but.... hey, no biggie.

My thoughts?
Be a man, suck it up (figuratively) and be glad your getting some.
:D
Body fluids happen, its what makes sex good.

I think it was Woody Allen who said "Sex is only dirty if you are doing it right."

It's blood, not some mixture of cum, pussy juice, and lube, and from what I can gather from the initial post, she wasn't on her period at the time. I can understand why both of them would be concerned.

Rchriss, sometimes, depending on the type of BC, it takes a while for the body to adjust. Sometimes not. It just depends on the individual. If it continues to be an issue, your girlfriend should see her doctor.

Here's something that no one else has mentioned.

I've had that happen on occasion. It usually happens if the sex was a little bit more rough than usual, or if he's bumped the cervix some. If it's just a little bit, not a whole lot, then I wouldnt worry too much about it. Sometimes it happens, and sometimes it doesnt. If you're worried about it due to this reason, dont be so rough next time and see what happens.
