I'm not an Old Journo, but I did manage to track down the latest Covid numbers.

With the U.S. averaging 1,500 Covid deaths per day over the past week, the math says 45,000 Covid deaths this month is a distinct possibility.

This is over double the 21,700 Covid deaths in August.

Do with this information what you will.

"Panic" may be appropriate for ignorant unvaccinated anti-mask Deplorables who thought July's 1,200 Covid deaths meant the pandemic was over, despite all the decent, intelligent Americans who were warning about the Delta variant and another Covid wave in the making.

SAD!!!

Less GQPers can't be bad.

I'm more concerned with our overwhelmed first responders and healthcare workers.

There is the very Likely scenario unfolding where a Covid wave and a bad Flu season converge.

That IS cause for "panic".

*nods*

We're losing a 9/11 every 2 days for perspective.

I saw that exact thing highlighted in a news report today.

I'm kinda curious how the Deplorables determine what is patriotic and worth sacrificing for.

Hmmmm.......
