The most interesting factoid in the Wall Street Journal this morning:

Major retailers such as Amazon, Costco and Walmart have mentioned in SEC filings that they are unable to hire and/or retain entry level retail workers. As such, they have been forced to raise wages from 50 cents to three dollars an hour to attract prospective employees. This is expected to ripple down" throughout the economy."

Wall Street expects 500K jobs to be created per month for the remainder of 2021, which is excellent growth but will still leave American unemployment below levels in 2019, prior to when the former guy botched the Corona virus mitigation.

I worked for 30 years in the forensic psychiatry and psychology field, and I can tell you first hand that sociopaths are impossible to reason with. The important thing to keep in mind about the unemployment rate is that it only measures people in the labor force, and the labor force has shrunk substantially since last winter. The true good news will be if and when the unemployment rate continues to drop once most of those people start looking for work again.
