Upload times?

Hello all. Sorry if this isn't the right section for this - it's been ages since I last used this board, and even then only made a few posts. Hopefully if it's in the wrong place a friendly moderator will move it for me

Anyhow, I recently came back to Literotica after not submitting any stories for over a year, having been inspired to write some new material. I submitted the first chapter last Friday, with further instalments on Monday and Tuesday.

Six days after the first chapter was submitted, it's still not up and has only been read 3 times... Is this usual? How long does it take a story to be approved these days? I'm sure it used to be much quicker - or is it just because I submitted them as Word documents rather than just uploading the text into the box this time?

Apologies if I'm wasting your time worrying about nothing!

THe delay is probablly because you submitted it in Word and now someone has to convert it.

THe last story I submitted was a few months ago and it took about 5 days or so, but it was uploaded as text, not word. THe last one I submitted as Word was about a year ago and it took about 8-10 day then.

Anyone else know if it's still 5 days or so for text?

I had one posted today that was submitted 7-6. Eight days. And it was text.

They've been pretty backloaded, or so I assume. It took nearly a week for my last "text-version" story to be posted. It's mid-month, and the Nude Day contest just ended. I think they've been busy with those two contests.


Give it a couple more days prophet. I'm sure it will be posted soon, especially if it's had a couple of views.

You may already know this from before, but:

While possessing your soul in patience refrain from peeking in to check your entry.

Apparently every time you open the review copy, you send it to the end of the queue.

What burley said. Every time you view it again it goes to the end of the que.

Posting times seem to fluctuate due to a lot of variables, including contests and I don't doubt vactions and family events and such. Right after the 4th holiday I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a little bit of a back log, since the holiday is american only.

Most folks over here go see family or have family over and it's concieveable that people who don't celebrate the holiday continue to submit. So the site operators may be a little bit behind.

Fortunately I haven't checked the individual submission pages of the stories themselves, just looked at them in the list of all my submissions, so hopefully they won't have gone to the end of the queue.

Well, that should teach me to be impatient, because the first chapter is now up!
