Hello everyone
I got a message about a week ago said some of you were asking about me. Well I thought I'd take a few minutes today and tell you all I am alive.
My sigline is wrong at the moment, they changed the store open date to June 12th because of slower progress in the construction than they thought the would have. The last few weeks have been rough, one not knowing when I was going to be officially going to the new store, two being extreamly short handed on my shifts, not to mention I was expecting my pay increase mid may and now won't get the first new check until June 15th, so I've also been busting my ass popping out costumes, and *shivers* doing alterations which I hate doing btw.
Yesterday was my last day at the old store, so this past week has been very emotional for me. Wednesday and Thursday I go into the new store to clean and get things ready, Friday we stock and meet the crew that we have (which is not even 3/4 of the amount of people we need to be able to run the store), Saturday they invite our friends and family to look around and eat and what not, Sunday every one's off, Monday is a vip party (all the big important people come in and eat and shmooze), then Tuesday is opening day and the start of some very rough times ahead, at least until the store gets on it's feet.
So I've been busy and emotional, and just trying to adapt to all this change, not to mention the strain it's put on Jounar and me as a couple. But this brings us closer to be able to see each other in the flesh, we just have to tough it out a bit.
The good news is the new store manager wants to keep me on or close to my current shift (no one else likes working the hours I like to *giggles), so that will at least keep me insinc with Jounar's time zone, at least until the store settles a bit.
So I'll try to pop in when I'm having an up moment, and as soon as I get pics of the new place I'll post some, it's soo cool looking.
