Update threads anyone?

I don't think the "Freshest Stories" list is very fresh (based on the dates I see).

Would some generous souls like to indulge me by highlighting recent thread contributions to their stories?

I'd start, but my recent work has all been for others' stories lately. (Unless you'd like to generate some activity by contributing to mine? See my signature for my story links).

Please? (whimper?)

Working on it

I am working on some threads to "Get me to the church on time" . Just trying to get the right story idea in my head. Should have it soon.

:D

Actually, I have a couple of stories now.

One is called A trip to remember. The other is called A Descent into Dreams. Here are the links.

A Trip To Remember

A Descent into Dreams

I hope you enjoy them and add to them. I also enjoyed reading your story called "In From The Snow", Zingiber. I'm thinking of adding a thread to it. Do you have any restrictions on someone adding threads to it?

Wyldnight

Hi, Wyldnight,

No special restrictions. I'm not a fan of forced sex, and I like threads which follow well from the established setting and character.

I liked the setup for A Descent Into Dreams.

I'd be happy to see what you have in mind for In From The Snow . I'm definitely interested in reviving it if there are interested authors. (Maybe we can get Dacia to contribute a little :) ).

I'm generally up for writing for most stories, providing I can get into them. I like the opening for Descent Into Dreams Wildknight very dungeons and dragons.

Thank you

Thank you both for the praise of My newest storyline. I'm very into fantasy-oriented stories. I loved Dungeons & Dragons as a kid. Still do, as a matter of fact. I have numerous fantasy related books here at home. I guess that's where I learned how to write stories like this. Plus, I've been told by others that I have a very good imagination. Not to be tooting my own horn or anything.

When I sit down to write a story (like A Descent into Dreams), I tend to picture what I'm writing about. If it doesn't work in my mind's eye, then I usually don't write it down. That is one thing that bugs me about the stories I've read. I mean, people write about things that are just not possible. I can understand that it's fiction and that anything's possible in a fictional setting. But, come on. If you're going to write about a guy who's 6'8" and weighs about 275 lbs., it's a little unrealistic to describe him jumping three feet in the air while wearing full battle armor and doing a reverse spin kick. ;)

Anyway, enough of my ranting. I'm going to spend some time tonight trying to find a place in your story to add on to, Zingiber. I'll post here after I've done that, so everyone will know. Oh, and deathofcards, I'll be looking at your stories and trying to find a place to add on to them as well. I like to help out those that help me and those that have been so nice to me.

There are plenty of possibilities in Rock Festival for someone to add to Sim8245 has created several in his two threads. I'd like it if someone added to the Kacey path though.

Thanks, Z. I'll definitely check out that story. It sounds like it might be interesting. I'll try to add to the Kacey path, deathofcards. I'll let you know when I've posted a thread to it.

Hi James,

Strangely, A Descent Into Dreams doesn't seem to show up on the index pages (the SciFi/Fantasy category, or the Story page for PheylonFirestorm), but it sure is there when I follow your link.

I wonder what's up.

It should be there now. I saw it on the New Stories and Fresh Stories yesterday. I also put up a thread to Sibling Road Trip if you want to look at it.

I haven't finished the one for In From the Snow, though. I put something in the story that I need to check on before I can continue. It's a game that I've seen people play, but I want to make sure I get it right. Perhaps you've played it before. The drinking game where you bounce a quarter into a shot glass, then drink what's in the glass without swallowing the coin? Anyway I'm planning to look online for a description of this game.

I was going to a write a thread for In From the Snow earlier as I've got some ideas worked out, but I ended up getting dragged to a mate's house so he could see the last episode of Buffy. I'll be doing that tomorrow then.
