I came here to lift some poems (mine, of course) and that took me about 20 minutes to find and figure out. I thought there was an easy way to do it, (at least, I seemed to remember there was an easy way) but ended up having to do an author's search, find my name and then I was able to get where I wanted to be and accomplish what I wanted. Geeze, I thought I was going to have to go to the HowTo forum and ask someone to help me...
Then, I decided while I'm doing laundry and staying awake because I work the rest of the week, to puruse the threads here and see what's been happening. And I see many things are happening.
Winston has quit smoking, almost a month ago! Huge congrats to you for that... it's a mighty big feat and more difficult than most can imagine. Well done!
myinnerslut has had some serious surgery and is planning a trip! I'm glad to read that you came through that so well.
I guess, Betticus that you've had several complicating problems. I didn't read your whole thread (so this might be moot) but I do know that Des has acupuncture for back pain and she swears by it. I hope you get (or have gotten) the pain under some kind of control.
Congrats in order for VB and Gabe! That's marvelous news and I wish you all the best! We want to come back to England soooo badly! I hope next year...
Desdemona is getting married in June. Jane and I planning on attending that gala! She told me dress was "casual blinginess." My attire fits that very well. She has had a difficult year so this will be a real high point for her and T.
I see that JMohegan has continued to keep some mystery of himself, to himself. That's a good and smart thing. It was a fun thread to read.
No, WD, I've not disowned a sibling but I still have this cat that keeps pissing all over and I keep saying his days are numbered... I have what is called here "the perpetual mop and bucket."
I'm sure there's other folks with news that I've missed. Maybe you could give me an update?
Lots of new folks I don't know and who don't know me.
Now, just because I want to brag and will... I had this big ol' blood work up 2 weeks ago and came back saying I am in FABULOUS health! My thyroid is perfect... my liver is good.... blood sugar, great... cholesterol was a little high (216.) But I told him I can take that down with exercise. No pills, no thank you. And I won't have to give up my butter! My Dilantin levels are still way low but that seems to be a working level for me (no seizure activity since my one and only) so I am staying at the same dose.
May 2nd was my 3 year anniversary, for those of you who remember and the good news is that nothing has changed. I'm still working a lot and doing all the other things I love doing. (Yes, go ahead and let your dirty minds wander... LOL)
I've been very busy on my days off helping my son with his new house. He bought it in April (in Las Vegas) and I've been helping paint and drill stuff. He fell in love with my drill so Jane bought him one for his birthday. I've been making drapes for him and am about halfway done... whew!
And I've even found a day or 2 to golf... after a fashion. ;-)
