Astronaut Captain Neil Moore sat chomping on a bag of Oreo cookies that had gone slightly stale since they had just got to the International Space Station on an automated rocket transport from Earth, sent the year before from Houston. Slow-ass transport . . .
"Thanks a lot, Earth," Moore muttered, watching the newsman on the antique Emerson television they had. It only picked up television waves from 1987, since apparently they were residually still floating about. "Oh well," he muttered again, switching to Back to the Future.
He turned and looked at his fellow astronaut, glad they had sent a female this time. She had just arrived with the shipment.
"So . . . What's your name?" he said.
