Until Dawn

What's that?

Until Dawn is a survival horror game, cinematic and motion capture of actors. It looks like a movie. Spent a day watching Ulaven play, watched my son play, I've played through myself.

Lots of jump scares and a whole lotta what the fuck.

"Jesus Hot Sauce Christmas Cake"

On my second time through, trying not to get everyone killed. It's based on choices, you determine the personality of the characters by being cruel or kind, whether or not they like each other, and then there are a lot of events where you have about a second to make a choice and hit the right button.

Here's Mike...failing everything...poor Mike.

Definitely the best technically made game I've seen. More like this would be great.

now continuing our talk from the "What are you reading?" thread.
What are some of your favourite authors (american+ international) and novels?

EDIT.
Not such a great question (one can't decide on that). I guess "What comes to your mind right now?" would be a better one.

At the moment - for some reason, maybe because of the nature of this forum/some of the latest happenings, I've been thinking about "Madame Bovary" and "The Devil's disciple". Not sure if they're more about going against the grid or more about living an authentic life.

Thomas Harris - Everything

Tana French - In The Woods/The Likeness

Sharon and Tom Curtis - The Windflower/Sunshine and Shadow

Orson Scott Card - Lost Boys

Ernest Cline - Ready Player One

wow… I'm embarassed to say: besides Neil Gaiman, I haven't heard about many of the others. I'll definitely check them out over the weekend. (btw if you subscribe to ScribD, for 9$/month, you get unlimitted access to a whole bunch of books - much better than amazon kindle).

Your tastes -books, music- seem to be more towards the contemporary ones.
I am still stuck with the classics - perhaps because the bulk of my readings occurred in high school, after which I got sidetracked by all the TV crap and movies. Nevertheless, I'm trying to catch up.

I hope you enjoy them and there is always more!

I haven't heard of ScribD, I'll check it out, thanks. Lately I've been down the rabbit hole of Reddit/Tumblr writing prompts community. So many talented authors/musicians and artists piling on together to make new things.

I am big on classics as well, Jane Eyre a favorite. Classical music as well from singing and playing French horn. I can never remember my cell number, but Latin lyrics I am all over...sicut erat in principio et nunc et semper, et in secu seculorum amen.
