I saw this movie on DVD a few nights ago. Do you think the US government would really go as far as to use extreme interrogation techniques against a US citizen to reveal the locations of nuclear weapons plotted to be used in terrorist attacks, if such hypothetical scenario were actually real?
The CIA has a long history of using extreme interrogation tactics (physical torture) dating back 60 years. They have done things like cut out people's eyes, dug out toenails and fingernails, drilled into limbs with powerdrills, burned people with blowtorches, pulled teeth, cut people's skin off, and much, MUCH worse.
What happened to the guy in this movie was child's play compared to what would actually be done to him (and his family) if that situation was actually real.
