Unread Private Message? Nothing There?

Hi, I'm a long time lurker, first time poster. My inbox says I have 1 unread message but when I look, there's nothing there. Does the forum do automatic messages to people who just sign up? Thanks!

Me too. I am a long time member and it says I have 1 unread message. If I click the private messages it says I have 3 stored messages. There is nothing in any of the mail boxes, in box and sent.

Sometimes Laurel or Manu delete spam PM's from the system. If your ID was spammed, you'd have received a message that you had a PM, but if they removed it before you attempted to see it, of course you wouldn't see anything.

I have been getting messages from fake profiles lately. I am thinking there are spammers on here.

I think that we are having a patch of them. I usually just *eyeroll* over them and delete.

And I too have had the phantom 1 Unread message. It's finally gone but that makes sense it would be a spammer delete. Thank you mods for all your hard work.

Also, they are testing the new website along side the existing one.
