Unlock a thread

Hi,

How do I go about unlocking my thread? I haven’t been on a few months and it’s been locked in the interim? I’d rather not start a new one and I also want the ability to edit my posts and remove my pictures if I feel the need to.

I think once a thread has been locked, it's usually because of content that violated Lit rules, either severely or repeatedly. I'm not saying you posted anything that broke the rules, it could be anyone who posted on your thread. I've never seen one be unlocked. But hopefully one of the mods will clarify for you soon.

Well, I'm not a mod, although several of them are my good friends. And I'm not going to go through 34 pages of posts. But it's not that old of a thread, and it's weird that no one gave a warning or a reason for closing it. They usually do.

It doesn't seem to be the kind of topic that they would be paying extra attention to or being strict about.

I recommend sending a PM to @AmPic Moderator. They should be able to help. I wonder if some shenanigans were happening in the thread and you weren’t around so they just locked it.

Have you tried editing your own posts in the thread? If I recall rightly, a locked thread means it cannot be added to but posters in it still have the ability to edit their own posts, including removing images they've posted. I could be misremembering but try and see.
