Ashley sat in the rental car going over her checklist one last time before hitting the road. “Ready,” she thought to herself as she started the car. As power ignited the electronics of the small compact car, the radio blared out Slipknot’s, Duality.

“This will not do!” she said and reached for the scan button.

The very first stop the scan made was a local country station, playing a half over Chris Stapleton’s, Tennessee Whiskey. Country music really wasn’t Ashley’s goto but she hit the select button and put the car in drive.

Not even out of the parking lot, Ashley’s phone rang. Moving over to a parking space, she parked the car, turned down the radio and answered the call.

“Hello, Mr. Philips. Yes…. I have all the papers and am just now leaving. Yes, I should make it by late evening. I’ll drive safely, promise. See you in a few hours.” she said in her most professional voice.

Turning the radio back up, to her surprise was the first notes of an unforgettable song, Sam Hunt’s, Body Like A Back Road. Her mind rushed to that night. To the night she met, Dirk.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“This has to be the worst rain I’ve seen in my life!” Ashley mumbled to herself as she fought to see the Interstate 20 sign coming into view between the high speed wipers. “Big Spring, Texas, ten miles ahead,'' it said.
Seemingly what took hours to reach, finally there were the glowing lights of the TA travel plaza. After taking the exit, Ashley pulled into the parking lot to figure out her next move. With a quick search, the Marriott was right up the road and Ashley couldn’t think of a better place to wait out the storm. Arizona would have to wait a bit longer.
With the rain letting up a tad, Ashley quickly parked the car and grabbed her things and ran into the lobby. Looking like a contestant in a wet T-shirt contest, Ashley checked in as fast as she could. Before leaving the front desk, she asked the clerk if they had a restaurant.
“No, sorry, we don’t but the bar offers a few small bits.” he said with a finger pointing towards the bar and his eyes fixed on the outline of her lace bra showing through her soaked Tee.
Making it to her room, stripping off her wet clothes and putting on that fluffy white robe that hung on the bathroom door, she called Jenniffer to let her know she wouldn’t make it there as planned. After the call ended, Ashley took out a matching set of dry panties and bra, a pair of jeans and a tee from her bag, slipped into them and put on a pair of sandals. Taking her overnight bag into the bathroom, she gazed at herself in the mirror.
“Still look like a mess!’’, she thought, wrapping her long damp strawberry blonde hair in a messy bun. Ashley finished her makeup by placing mascara on the lashes of her seductive green eyes and ended with a dab of perfume behind each ear. “I hope the food is good!” she thought as the door to her room closed behind her.
Entering the bar, Ashley felt a little uneasy, seeing that most were men. Taking a deep breath, she made her way to the bar and took a chair. The barback was a friendly, cute, petite woman, who said her name was Sally.
After getting a glass of water and placing her order, Ashley began to relax. Looking around the small dim lit bar, Ashley saw there were all walks of life in the bar. Business suits, casual, cowboy hats, even a few in jogging pants.
Giggling just a little from the guys in jogging pants boasting about something, one took a few steps back and there….., there he was, this strawberry blonde haired, buff, tanned, gorgeous man.
Dirk.
Dirk Lucas grew up in a dirt farm in West Texas. Nothing came easy to his family, especially after his father took off and left Dirk and his mother to fend for themselves. He started working odd jobs when he was 10. After school, he would go to neighboring farms and do anything that they were willing to pay him for so that he could supplement what his mother earned working two jobs.
None of that changed when Dirk got to high school. He went to school, went to practice (football or baseball depending on the season) and then he went out and worked. He was very popular in high school. Dirk was an All State tight end on the football team and he was an all state catcher on the baseball team, and all of the girls loved him.
After high school, Dirk got a job as a roughneck. He turned down multiple scholarship offers to play football and/ or baseball in college to take the job working on oil rigs. His mother was upset with him for doing so, but he felt he had to stay around and take care of her. He insisted she stop working two jobs and only work her day job.
The work was hard, but the pay was good. It was a dirty job, but it provided him with a good living and it enabled him to pay off the mortgage on the farm. Dirk did not mind the hard work though. He had been working since he was 10, so, he was not stranger to the physical labor required of a roughneck. He just wished his mother had not contracted cancer and passed away.
********************************************************************
After another long, Dirk walked to his Silverado 4x4. He brushed the excess dirt and dust from his boots, jeans and his shirt and he climbed into the truck. As he was heading home, he decided to stop and have a beer. He missed the turn for the Stumble Inn, his usual stop, so, he decided he would just grab a beer from the refrigerator and sit on the porch.
He changed his mind as he approached the Marriott. They had a bar inside, and he knew it would be air conditioned. A cold beer and air conditioning after a long day in the sun.... yep, that was what the doctor ordered. He pulled into the parking lot and was amazed by the range of vehicles parked there... everything from a Bentley to a beat up old pickup. His truck would fit somewhere right in the middle.
He hopped out of the truck and took off his dirty, sweaty t-shirt and grabbed the clean t-shirt that he always kept in the truck. He pulled the shirt over his 6’1” frame and then brushed some more of the dirt off his jeans before heading inside.
As he walked into the bar, he looked around; checking out the clientele, before heading to an empty stool at the bar. There were several empty seats on either side of him as he sat down and waited for the bartender. When she finally came over, Dirk ordered one of those beers with the red label and threw a 20 on the bar.
He sat back in his stool and looked around the bar, soaking up the cool air from the air conditioner. When he saw her walk in, he thought, “how appropriate is the song that is on.” He watched her sit down, and, before the bartender could approach the woman, Dirk told her that he was buying the woman’s drink.
He made eye contact with the woman before allowing his eyes to wander over her body. He smiled at her before taking another drink of his beer.
Ashley.
Noticing that the man she had been eyeing had seen her, Ashley could feel her cheeks turning red. Quickly she broke her gaze and took a drink of her water. Setting her glass on the bar, carefully she took a swift glance, looked his way and saw he was drinking his beer. Relieved she hadn’t been caught like a silly school girl, Ashley took another drink.
“Here’s you sliders, sweetie.” Sally said, placing the plate on the bar, “Need anything else?”
“No, I’m good, well….. maybe more water.” Ashley said as she studied the larger than small plate of food in front of her. “So, this is what a small plate looks like in Texas?” she said with a laugh as Sally filled the glass.
“Sweetie, surely you’ve heard the old saying, “Everything’s bigger in Texas!” Sally said laughing as she turned to walk off. “Oh, I like to have forgot, see that handsome young man in the white T-shirt at the other end of the bar? He’s bought you a drink of your choice, so what will it be, sweetie?”
Ashley looked over at the man, pretending she hadn’t noticed him as she talked to Sally, “Who? That guy 5 seats down?”
“Yes, sweetie. That prime grade-A Texas beefcake, 5 chairs down!” Sally said practically drooling. “So what will you have?”
Ashley paused a minute trying to decide just what she should do, “Please tell him thanks, but no thanks”
Sally just shook her head and walked down the bar, “Sweetie, your drink offer has been turned down.”
Seeing his mirrored reflection in between the bottles of liquor that lined the back of the bar, Ashley watched as she took a bite of the BBQ slider and liked to have choked when she saw him stand and walk in her direction.
“What card did I just play?” Ashley thought, taking another bite of the slider as Texas Beefcake placed his hand on the bar stool next to her.
Dirk sat at the bar and he watched the bartender talking with the woman. He saw her take the woman's order and put a glass of water in front of her. A couple of minutes later the bartender deliver food to her.
Looking around the bar for a moment, Dirk had a hard time keeping his eyes off of the woman. He thought back to the song that was playing when she walked in and he smiled to himself, "I sure would like to get to "know every curve like the back of my hand.""
The bartender came by and told him that the woman had rejected his offer of buying her a drink. He was a little disappointed. He sat for a moment looking at the back of the bar and then decided to go down and talk to the woman.
There was something about the woman that made Dirk not want to give up after the rejection of his drink offer. He also could tell that being aggressive would not work on her. She was obviously not from around these parts, and was probably only here because of the storm.
Standing up, he left his half-empty bottle of beer and his money on the bar, and he slowly walked toward the woman. He did not want to come off as being aggressive, so he took his time making his way toward her, despite her only being five seats away.
Placing his hand on the barstool next to the woman, Dirk said to her, "I am sorry to interrupt your supper ma'am, but I just wanted to make sure that I did not offend you by offering to by you a drink. I did not mean anything by it. I just wanted to acknowledge the beautiful woman that I watched walk into the bar."
He paused for a second. "Like I said, I am sorry to interrupt your meal, but, if, when you are finished eating, you would like to join me for one drink before you leave the bar, I would be greatly honored."
Dirk smiled at her and headed back to his stool. He sat down and took a sip of his beer and wondered if he should have been more aggressive in his approach to her.
He was convinced that he had made the right move. Whether it would work, however, was another story.
When Ashley heard the words, “I’m sorry to interrupt.............” she looked up at the good-looking man next to her, covered her mouth with her cloth napkin, and munched the bite of food quickly so she could speak. As she listened to him, she held up a “just a second finger” from her other hand in front the napkin and shook her head in agreement. Before she could reply, he turned and walked away.
With a puzzled look on her face, Ashley bit into her slider. “He didn’t wait for my reply!” she thought, “Did I reply?
“Sweetie, you good?” Sally asked.
“Just the check, please.” Ashley said, pushing the plate of sliders away.
Returning with the check, Sally placed it on the bar and started to pick up the plate.
“Can I ask you a question?” Ashley asked Sally as she pulled out her wallet.
“Sure, sweetie, anything.” replied Sally.
“That guy, the one who offered to buy me a drink, do you know him? Ashley asked almost in a whisper.
“Sure, sweetie, he’s a local, comes in here once in a blue moon. I’d say he’s a nice guy.” Sally said.
“Thanks.” Ashley said as she lay her money on the bar. “Keep the change”
Putting the wallet back in her purse, Ashley pulled out her cell, “One drink.... just a drink, what would one drink hurt?” she thought as her finger poked the weather app.
While the app loaded, Ashley looked over at him but this time his eyes were on her. After flashing him a quick smile, she looked down at her cell, deciding the weather would make the call. The screen’s blue dot pulsed showing unfortunately no rain. A little disappointed, she placed two fingers on the cell.
Ashley shrunk the screen, out to the West was a massive green blob dappled with yellows and reds. ”A drink it is!” she thought smiling as she looked once again in his direction, and slid off her stool.
Making the short walk, Ashley pulled out the stool, smiled and sat next to him, “Is that drink still offered?” she asked as she took the drink menu from it’s stand.
“Sure is, ma’am.” he replied.
“I’m Ashley by the way.” She said looking over the menu instead of him.
The first drink listed was Texas Tea, the house special.
“What in the world is Texas Tea?” Ashley asked him in a more playful voice than a question, knowing the drink was explained after the name
"Of course the offer still stands ma'am."
'Hello Ashley, my name is Dirk."
"I have to be honest with you Ashley. I have no idea what is in a Texas Tea. I drink beer." He held up his bottle and smiled at her. "But I am sure if you focus your pretty little eyes on that drink menu, I am pretty sure it tells you what is in the drink."
He winked at Ashley and then called the bartender over. "Do me a favor Doll. Make Ashley a Texas Tea and put it on my tab. Also, would you get me another beer, too, while you are at it please."
Turning back to Ashley, he smiled at her. "So, you got caught in the storm, didn't you?" Chuckling a little. "I wish the storm had come in a little earlier. If it had, I could have ended work a little earlier. Of course, if it had, you wouldn't be sitting here with me, so, I guess it was better this way."
He watched the bartender deliver the drinks. After clinking his bottle on her glass, he took a sip. "Where are you headed, Ashley. I know your destination isn't Big Spring. Hell, nobody's destination is Big Spring. The only people here are the people that were born here and haven't left, or the people passing through, and trust me, I would know if you were born here."
He took another 20 out of his pocket and put it on the bar. He wanted to make sure there was enough on the bar to tip the bartender. She had done a nice job paying attention to what he needed.
"So, Ashley, where are you headed when you leave here in the morning? This storm should be through by then, and maybe the clothes you had on will be dried out so you can pack them into your bag without getting everything wet."
“He’s cute and witty, “ Ashley thought as she read the details of the drink. Vodka, Gin, Rum, Whiskey, and...... Tequila!
The drink read like that scene out of “The Wizard of Oz” Loins, Tigers, and Bears....... Oh my!!!! But it was too late, the drink came and she was clinking the glass with Dirk’s beer.
“Arizona, for a friends wedding. I was planning on making it to Las Cruses tonight, but, yes that rain..... I could barely see, so here I am, waiting it out, drinking a drink with a..... oh what’s the word........., Texan?” Ashley asked with a giggle.
Texan was not the word Ashley wanted to use, there were several she did but those she would keep to herself.
Playfully chasing the lemon in her drink with the straw, Ashley releasing Dirk commented on her wet clothes,her mind raced over the events before coming into the bar. When did he see her, the parking lot, the lobby, the floor her room was on? She didn’t see him, if she had she would remember this handsome guy. RED FLAG!!!
Turning more cockeyed in her chair to face Dirk better, Ashley re-crossed her legs, brushing over his with her foot. “I’m sorry.” she said with a touch of flirt, “Legs are just a bit short for these foot rest.” Taking a sip of that “drink too many of these, and you’ll pay for it” drink, Ashley asked with a wicked grin, “So you saw me wet?”
Dirk watched as Ashley took a sip of her Texas Tea. He could tell from the look on her face that it had a bit of a kick to it. "Well, there are quite a few Texans here in the great state of Texas." He smiled. "You had quite a drive ahead of you if you were going to make it to Los Cruses. If you took I 10 it would probably take you another 5.5 to 6 hours, that is unless you have a lead foot and exceed the speed limit."
He took another drink of his beer as he watched her re-cross her legs and brush his leg with her foot. He winked and smiled at her apology. "It is quite alright Ashley. You don't need to do anything to get my attention though."
Watching as she took another sip of her drink, Dirk was happy to see that she was a little flirtatious. Then he heard her ask if he had seen her wet, and dirty thoughts ran through his mind.
His response was going to be something that was overtly sexual, but he held back to make sure he didn't go too fast. "No Ashley, I didn't see you wet, although I am certain that anyone who did was treated to one hell of a show."
Pausing to take a sip of his drink, Dirk continued, "I just noticed that your hair is still wet. If your hair is wet after sitting here for a while, I am certain that your clothes were wet. I am not a stalker if that is what you are thinking. The first time I saw you was when you walked into the bar and I was sitting right here."
Relieved by his answer as to her wettness "...........and here I was hoping you were!" Ashley jokingly slapped Dirk's thigh, laughing.
"So it seems we both are hiding out from the storm. It's a good place to do it," Ashley paused, "very nice scenery in here, I may add. So I think we should get to know each other a little bit better. I'll go first. Me..... I'm an intern for a law firm back east. Well, Charleston, South Carolina, to be exact. I'm working my butt off for them and hoping they keep me. Hmmmm..... Single, guess you need to know that, "Ashley laughed, then took a long drink of the Tea. "Have a pound pooch I adore but had to leave back home because I'm gonna be a busy Maid of Honor for the next week."
Resting her arm on the bar, Ashley moved more sideways in her chair, this time she made sure that foot of hers rubbed over Dirk's leg while crossing hers. "My Bad!" Ashley flirted.
Taking another drink of that potent tea, "So, what about you?" Ashley's full attention on Dirk.
Waiting for Dirk to reply, Ashley continued drinking her drink till the straw sucked air. "I think my glass has a hole in it!" she chuckled and sat the glass on the bar.
Chuckling, Dirk looked at Ashley as she started to loosen up. He watched as she sipped her drink and as her comments became more and more flirtatious. "...........and here I was hoping you were!" That signaled the change in her demeanor, and Dirk decided to go right along with her. "Oh so you are into that sort of thing, are you? I know a guy that is really good at stalking women. Maybe I should give him a call." He smiled at her to let her know he was teasing just as she slapped his thigh.
Ashley continued, and now there was no way to stop her. Her flirting came in rapid fire as she talked about them both hiding out from the storm, how nice the scenery was in the bar, how they should get to know each other a little bit, and how he needed to know she was single. Dirk had trouble keeping up with Ashley as she spoke.
"Take a breath Ashley. We have all night. You don't need to get your life story out in one breath." He took a sip of his beer and looked down as her foot brushed his leg again. She continued to touch him. "That isn't a bad thing," he thought.
"Since you just poured out your life story to me in about 30 seconds, I will tell you a little about me. I work on an oil rig. It is dirty work as you can see from my jeans and my boots. I have never been out of Texas and might never leave here in my life. I live alone in a house that is paid for and I am thinking of getting me a dog."
He took another drink of his beer and noticed that she was finished her drink. He called Sally over. "The lady needs another drink, but I am not sure it should be one of those devil drinks you just made for her, or I will be carrying her up to her room and putting her to bed. Why don't you get her a drink that will allow her to remember what happens tonight."
Ashley hadn’t dated since she became an intern. She had put just about every distraction on hold to keep her focused and driven on her future. She knew she would have to prove her value many times over, especially with her being a cute, petite, voluptuous strawberry blonde. But now, being on kind of a vacation, she was going to enjoy it.
“Dirk, don’t be silly!” Ashley giggled. Holding up her sandaled foot with pretty French manicured toes, “I’m not footed for stalking, ……..see? No…… 6” heels!” she said with a girlish B-flick voice.
There was no doubt about it, she was enjoying the back and forth between them. Dirk was just fun to be around, she thought as she smiled at him.
“Was I speed dating?” Ashley laughed before composing herself to listen to him talk about his life. Dirk was so charismatic as he told of his life, she could see why Sally almost drooled when she talked about him.
Expelling a deep breath, “I’m not so sure I need another drink, Dirk. I do know for sure I’ve met my limit on that Texas Tea!” Ashley laughed then called out to Sally, “Make it a sissy one! And a very large glass of water, please.”
Waiting on Sally to return, “So what do you do for fun out here? I glanced at a brochure in my room of the state park, looked like good hiking.” Ashley said.
Before Dirk could reply.
“Here you go, sweetie. Tall lemonade with a splash of vodka.” Sally said as she placed it and a glass of water on the bar.
"You don't need to be in 6 inch heels to stalk or to be stalked. However, wearing heels like that will usually bring a woman a lot more attention than one wearing sandals. Of course, it is more than the shoes that gets my attention. I look for the whole package."
He laughed when Ashley asked the bartender to make her a sissy drink. "I have to tell you Ashley, if you came here looking for fun, you came to the wrong place. There is nothing fun here in Big Spring, and, if you call hiking fun, I am going to have to wonder about you."
Taking a sip of his beer and then placing the bottle back on the bar, Dirk watched as the bartender delivered Ashley's sissy drink. "In Big Spring, we have to make our own fun. There is nothing but dirt farms and oil wells here, so, that doesn't leave us much to entertain ourselves with. We have to do that on our own."
"You don't have to worry too much about what we do for fun here. Tomorrow morning Big Spring will be in your rearview mirror and will be out of your mind. Before you know it you will be at the wedding and having a good time, and you won't ever remember you were here..... unless you find someone or something that is very memorable."
Ashley took a sip of her drink, “Sissy my ass!” she exclaimed. “Oh, wait, I didn’t stir it!” she said with a giggle, “There………!” Taking a check and see sip, “I must be a wimp then!” Ashley laughed, “It’s still just as strong!”
Ashley placed the drink back on the bar and grabbed the glass of water, she had already broken her rule on alcohol to water ratio and thought it best to get some water in her. Dirk was right about one thing, Big Spring would be in the rearview mirror tomorrow and she did need her wits about her.
“Here's to making our own fun!” Ashley proclaimed as she held up her glass once Dirk ended his point of view on this oil drenched dirt he called home .
As the evening grew later, Ashley and Dirk did the usual senseless BS that most people did on a first meeting. Topics varied and wondered and led from one thing to the other.
“……..and with her looking just like a Honey Badger instead of a dog, that’s how she got the name, Honey-B.” Ashley said, poking the straw up and down in her half full drink, smiling at Dirk.
“I need to run to the Lady’s room.” Ashley told Dirk as she stood, put her drink on the bar and took her purse.
After several steps, Ashley turned back to Dirk, “Don’t spike my drink, you stalker!” with a wink and laughing, she turned around and headed straight to the restroom.
As she walked across the bar, she couldn’t help but notice that most of the people that were in there had left. The bar seemed bigger and for the first time Ashley heard music playing.
Standing in front of the gold framed mirror, Ashley wiped her hands dry and checked her makeup. “Looks good,” she thought as she pulled the messy bun tighter.
Making her away back to Dirk, Ashley noticed Sally was looking her way, Ashley waved and motioned for Sally to turn the music up. Playing was Lady Antebellum’s, “You Look Good.” , one of the few country songs she knew.
With the music now just loud enough for enjoy, Ashley danced her way over to Dirk. Her body snaked, curled, swayed, rolled and twisted as she seductively danced to the music. Knowing most of the lyrics, she sang.
Pulling at Dirks hand, “Dance with me,” she requested.
As he stood, Ashley’s gaze on Dirk, “Baby, you look good……” she sang the last line as the song ended.
With the next song starting, Ashley smiled up at Dirk, “Pretty please…….” she asked, taking Dirk’s hand once more.
Got a girl from the south side, got braids in her hair
First time I seen her walk by, man I ‘bout fell off my chair
Had to get her number, it took me like six weeks
Now me and her go way back like Cadillac seats……
That was the first time Ashley had heard that song. Tippy-toeing up to Dirk’s ear as she placed her arms around his neck, in a whisper, “Who sings that?” she asked.
He laughed at Ashley as she turned to him and told him not to spike her drink, and called him a stalker. His eyes moved to her ass as he watched her walk away. It looked so good encased in her jeans.
He chatted idly with the bartender while Ashley was gone. She asked him why he didn't come into the bar more often. "You know the crowd that comes in here. This isn't my type of crowd. Most of the people are just passing through and have no idea what we are about here in Big Spring."
Sally smiled at him and patted his hand. "She is just passing through, you know." Dirk smiled at her and acknowledged that he knew she was just a guest in the hotel. "Yep, she is on her way to Arizona to a wedding. I am just trying to show her some Big Spring hospitality while she is here all alone.
They both turned as Ashley reentered the bar. Sally walked away from him and he heard Ashley say something to her. Then, the music got louder and Ashley approached him singing the Lady A song. "So, you do know some country." Smiling her as she looked at him and emphasized the last line of the song.
Dirk got up out of his stool after Ashley continued to ask him to dance with her. As she wrapped her arms around his neck and whispered in his ear, Dirk put his hands on Ashley's hips and started to move his body with hers. "You like this song? Sam Hunt sings it."
He moved his hands to the small of her back as they continued to dance right by the bar; their bodies closer as they moved together. "What do you like about this song? the lyrics or the words?" One hand moved slowly up her back... his fingers feeling every single vertebrae.
“Sam Hunt…. Sam Hunt….” Ashley mumbled, “Where do I know that name from?”
Looking up at Dirk as they danced, “Because it’s the one playing as you dance with me.” she said as she placed her head onto Dirk’s chest.
Dirk’s hands felt so good on her body as they danced. His scent was a mix of Texas dirt and sweat along with a colon she had never smelled before as she breathed him in. He was intoxicating.
With the song over, Dirk released Ashley from his embrace and smiled down at her.
“What’s the song’s title?” Ashley asked, taking her seat.
Telling Ashley that it was, Body Like A Back Road, adding that he had liked Sam Hunt from when he first came on to the country music scene with Take Your Time, off his first debut album back in 2014.
It came to her where she knew the name, Sam Hunt, “Bonnaroo!” excitedly Ashley told Dirk.” He played Bonnaroo in Tennessee. I had went to the music festival with some friends to see Cage The Elephant, CHVRCHES, and the Arctic Monkeys. He was there, I heard him sing!” Stopping only long enough to take a sip of her watered down Vodka Lemonade, “I was on my way to grab a beer and he was on stage, his voice caught my attention and I stopped to listen to him. Funny isn’t it how my attention has again been caught by his voice.”
Ashley hoped Dirk knew it was really he who had caught her attention and not Sam Hunt tonight.
“I hate to say this, Dirk.I have no idea what time it is. I know it’s late. And…….” Ashley paused looking into his eyes,” I should really head to my room.” Ashley told Dirk with sadness in her voice.
He listened to her talk about hearing Sam Hunt at a music festival. He laughed a little as she rambled on. He picked up his beer and drained what was left. When Sally asked if he wanted another, he shook his head no and smiled at her.
"He does have a great voice. I have seen him in concert. I can see why he caught your attention. At least his voice catching your attention gave me the opportunity to dance with you and to move in a little closer to you than just sitting next to each other on a bar stool."
When he heard Ashley mention it was getting late, he collected his money off the bar and took out two 20s to give to Sally as a tip. Then he turned back to Ashley. "I understand Ashley. You have a long day of driving ahead of you. You will certainly need your rest tonight so you don't fall asleep behind the wheel tomorrow while putting Big Spring in your rearview mirror."
He took his time looking Ashley up and down one last time. "Fortunately you don't have far to go to get to your room. I hope your bed is comfortable," he paused teasingly, "and you get a good night's sleep." Dirk leaned in and gave Ashley a little kiss on the cheek as he stood up to leave.
Ashley closed her eyes as Dirk kissed her. His kiss was soft and warm on her skin, making her want more when his lips withdrew. Ashley opened her eyes, smiled up at Dirk. “I had a really nice time.” she paused, “Shall we go?”
Putting her purse on her shoulder, “Sally, so nice to meet you.” Ashley said as Dirk and her made their way out of the bar.
Entering the lobby, it was so bright. Ashley’s eyes adjusted as they stopped near the middle of the lobby. There she could see Dirk was just as handsome, maybe even more so than in the bar. She noticed every ripple down his abs under that white T-shirt, how muscled his arms were, and how those hazel eyes sparkled as she looked deeply up at him.
Ashley’s mind raced, she knew he’d be walking out those sliding doors soon. How could she get him to stay without just coming right out with “I want you so badly right now, please stay.......”
“Yes, that’s 308, third door to the left of the elevator.” Ashley heard the clerk say. Looking over in his direction, there were two men standing in front of the desk, luck was on her side.
“Dirk, those two men at the desk, they just checked in to the room next to mine.” Ashley whispered, “Will you walk me to my room, I don’t want to go up by myself.”
Ashley studied Dirk’s face. Had her ploy worked? Did she play the part well enough? Ashley was no damsel in distress, her father taught her well, and that SIG Sauer 1911 had been by her side since her eighteenth birthday.
Dirk said goodbye to Sally as he headed toward the exit to the bar into the hotel lobby. "Thanks for everything. "I'll see you soon, I am sure." He followed Ashley into the lobby of the hotel which was practically empty except for a couple of guys at the registration desk and the hotel clerk helping them.
He smiled down at Ashley as she turned toward him. He was about to say goodbye to her. She had not given any real indication that she was interested in continuing the night together, so, he assumed this would be the last he would see of her.
“Dirk, those two men at the desk, they just checked in to the room next to mine. Will you walk me to my room, I don’t want to go up by myself.” Dirk looked over at the two men checking in. They did not seem very threatening. He looked back to Ashley. "If it will make you feel safer here in Big Spring, TX, I will escort you to your room."
Seeing her smile, Dirk knew he made the right decision. He followed Ashley to the elevator and waited next to her until the elevator doors opened. Following her on, Dirk moved to the back of the elevator as Ashley pushed the button for the third floor. His eyes focused on her ass as she bent over slightly to push the button.
When the doors opened after the short ride up, Dirk followed Ashley off and down the hall to her room. He stepped close to her as she searched for her key. When she took it out and turned to him, they were standing only inches away.
"Well ma'am, the package has been safely delivered to its destination. There is no damage to it, and it looks to be in perfect condition. Will there be anything else you want from me tonight." He looked down at her with a wicked grin.
Holding the key card in her hand, Ashley looked up at Dirk and thought fuck it.
“Wanna unwrap this package?”
Dirk looked down at Ashley as she asked him about unwrapping the package. "I am curious to see what is inside the package. The way it is wrapped leads me to believe that the wrapping is concealing an incredible package."
He took the keycard from Ashley's hand and leaned in to open the door. as he did so, he pressed his body to hers and kissed her deeply. The door opened, Dirk walked Ashley backward into her room without breaking the kiss.
Once inside the room, the door closed behind them. Dirk spun Ashley around and pressed her to the door. The kiss getting more passionate as he reached down and put the deadbolt on.. his other hand on Ashley's hip... sliding her tank up and exposing some flesh.
After locking the door, his other hand moved to the bottom of her tank top and, using both hands, Dirk lifted it over her head and dropped it to the floor. His eyes moved over her perfect breasts. "This part of the package is incredible."
Ashley held her breath as the kiss became more passionate entering her room. She gasped when Dirk pressed her body against the door before kissing her again. When Dirk lifted her shirt over her head, Ashley’s body tingled with excitement. Her heart raced as her arms came down from above her head, pushing her breast together in that orange sherbert colored lace bra as they passed over them.
Slowly they slid downward, her hands tracing the outline of her body, Ashley’s eyes fixed in a lustful gaze on Dirk. Her left leg moved seductively in front of her right. With her arms now gliding up and over the front of her body, softly her hands caressed it. Higher they moved, gliding over her neck, stopping only long enough to take her hair out of the bun, until her arms fully extended above her head once more with her waist crossed.
“I’m so glad you like.” Ashley tauntingly said, biting her lower lip.
Dirk watched as Ashley moved her hands over her body. He licked his lips as she did so, imagining how good she must taste. As she raised her arms over her head, Dirk reached out and unhooked her orange bra.
He pushed the bra up off her firm tits and began to caress them firmly... pulling lightly on her nipples as their eyes met and stayed glued to each other. He stepped closer to her and placed a leg between hers; his thighs pressing to her mound while his foot spread her legs wider.
"The package looks better and better as I get more of the wrapping off of it." When she lowered her arms, Dirk slid the bra from her shoulders and Ashley stood against the door in front of him naked from the waist up.
He slid his fingertips teasingly over her breasts; making sure each finger moved over her erect nipples. Then his hands moved down her body, slowly, until he was unbuttoning her jeans... slowly sliding the zipper down.
Ashley’s body tingled beneath Dirk’s teasing fingers as he explored her breasts. With each passing finger her nipples grew harder. When his hands reached the button of her jeans, in response her hands slid over his chest. He felt so rock solid under her hands as they meandered over his torso.
Pulling back from Dirk as his fingers clasped the slider of the zipper on her jeans, “Your turn!” she said playfully.
Teasingly, Ashley rolled Dirk’s T-shirt upward counting his abs as she went, “One….” she whispered, “ Two…. Three…. and Four…. Oh my!” she said, wickedly smiling up at Dirk, “Five….” she counted as her fingers traveled to Six….
Pushing his shirt up to his armpits, “Very nice six pack you have there! Arms please…...”
Ashley held Dirk’s shirt in place as he pulled his arms out of the sleeves one at a time. His pecs danced as they moved and flexed. Ashley letting go of the shirt, Dirk took his head out for her and waved the tee tauntingly in front of her. Ashley whisked the shirt from Dirk, slinging it into the room.
Dirk thoroughly enjoyed the way Ashley slowly lifted his t-shirt up. He liked the way her fingers moved over his abs as she teasingly counted out his six-pack. Complying as she asked for his arms, Dirk removed his arms from his shirt and watched as Ashley tossed the shirt onto the floor after lifting it over his head.
He moved his hands back to her body; grasping her hips as he stepped closer to her. He held her teasingly close to him but did not quite let her wonderful tits come in contact with his body... her erect nipples oh so close to his chest.
Leaning down, Dirk kissed her softly.. almost teasing her with the soft pecks on her lips. Slowly, he began to move his hands up her sides... teasing her until his thumbs lightly brushed her firm tits. Then, he moved his hands to her back and his fingers moved slowly down her spine; caressing every single vertebrae.
Breaking the kiss, he moved his lips to her ear. Dirk nibbled her earlobe and allowed his tongue to explore her ear. Pulling lightly on her earlobe with his teeth as his hands moved lower, Dirk began to caress her tight ass through her jeans. Whispering to Ashley, "I think you might get a late start on the road to Arizona tomorrow."
With each alluring touch Derk placed on Ashley’s body, she yearned for more.
“I just might, checkout isn’t till noon.” Ashley whispered as she tried to focus on the large buckle on Derk’s belt, “How the hell does this thing work?”
Her fumbling figures more by chance than knowledge freed the prong from the hole and the western buckle sagged to the side. Looking up, Ashley smiled with accomplishment. Her fingers then ran down the length of his bulge behind the zipper of his jeans. Returning upward her palm pressed firmly into it as she reached the button. Ashley teasingly pulled at the waistband of Derk’s jeans.
“I think these need to come off……” her voice trailed as the button came unbuttoned. Rubbing over his cock again, Ashley unzipped his jeans.
With her left hand fingers now walking up the center of his body, they followed the line of body hair that spring out from his jeans, up to his chest. Ashley placed her right hand on Dirk’s collarbone, tippy-toeing she began to kiss ever so lightly at the base of his neck, her right hand taunted as it started moving back down his body.
Placing a finger in the band of his Jockey underwear, Ashley tugged at them, looking up at Dirk, “You do know there's more to this room than the entry, right?”
