(Need 1 female to join me in this romantic story. Pm me if interested)
The country of Tamir
Cade Gallagher stopped and admired the beauty of the garden and inhaled the smoke from his cigarette. One of the few flaws he allowed himself. At the moment he was alone in the secluded part of the castle garden and he took the opportunity to enjoy the calm. Close by some birds sang and water porled. The air was filled with scents.
It was not the view he had from his ranch in Texas where he could look out over the plain and see the century old oaks. But this wasn't bad at all. So far he hadn't had the time look look around on Tamir. The exception was the castle and the mosque. Because of the usual delays at the airport he hadn't arrived until late afternoon the day before and almost missed the marriage ceremony.
It was interesting to be here but in all honesty he was starting to feel trapped. If only all celebrations would end sometime so he could get on with the business that was the reason he was here for. He was in Tamir in oil business.
When Elena invited him to the wedding he had first declined but he couldn't say no to that woman when she asked him to be there as an honorary guest. And as her guardian, which was a ridiculous thought. Elena Rahman must be the last person on the planet needing a guardian. But as she had no other relatives alive she had turned to him.
He had hesitated at first. At least until she mentioned that Sheik Ahmed Kamal. Her future father in law was thinking of renovating the oil refineries he had in Tamir and maybe even build some new ones. As Cade sold material to just oil refineries he couldn't pass up the opportunity.
There wasn't much in the world that impressed him and certainly not things like money, titles or power. But the old sheik - Ahmed Kamal had made a strong impression on him despite they had only met briefly. That man really used his brain and he was surprisingly humble.
Even if he was the sole ruler over his country he had chosen to call himself sheik instead of king. He also liked the sheik's son Hassan. Something he hadn't told Elena yet. Cade had realised that she wasn't crazy when she decided to marry a prince from a kingdom in the middle east. Hassan seemed as american as most from USA.
"Cade, hello!" The piercing voice cut into his thoughts and Cade grimaced slightly before he turned to Elena's other guest. Her loud and unnerving friend Kitty.
An half hour later
"Excuse me?" Cade leaned closer to hear what the woman beside him was trying to say. The music was loud enough to force her to shout in his ear.
Kitty tried again. "Yes, i said that the young woman on the other side of the pool have tried to catch your eyes whole evening. It look like she want to flirt a little."
Cade automatically looked up. "Really, which one?" He welcomed everything that could make the time go a little faster. Three hours long dinner parties was not something he was used to.
"She there... The pretty one in a light blue dress... Long black hair with a tiara... As collected from thousand and a night. You see her?"
Cade looked. He had already noticed her. It was hard not to. He was only a man afterall. He couldn't resist to smile.
"You mean the one that look to be about to swallow herself?" His smile grew wider when the young woman's restless eyes suddenly met his. She placed her hand over her mouth in a late and failed attempt to cover the yawn. Cade watched in fascination as the emotions took turns in her face. Fear, sorrow, anger, arrogance, pride, irony and finally to his delight a contagious charmingly smile.
Kitty said with a pleased tone. "I rest my case! I told you she are flirting with you."
"A little young don't you think?" He remarked slowly. "And if i am not mistaken completely she are a princess." He said as he understood what the head garment the young woman was wearing meant.
"She are?" Kitty drew in her breath but wasn't late to frown aloud. "So what? Hassan is a prince. It didn't stop Elena from snatching him from the market." She gave out a piercing shriek. "I just thought of something. She must be Elena's sister in law! I am sure she can introduce us... i mean you to the princess."
"It is not very likely." Cade answered dryly. "If i understand it right the princesses are held in very tight leashes here."
